Poached Pear Bistro

The food service at this restaurant was excellent! We began with the Grilled hearts of romaine, which was a meal in itself. The combination of sundried tomatoes and candied walnuts was delicious. The Diver scallops over risotto were cooked perfectly, and the Ahi Tuna with soba noodles was a treat. With so many delicious options on the menu, it can be hard to decide on just one dinner selection!

Our server seemed disinterested and rushed. He quickly listed the specials and then disappeared. Unfortunately, when our food arrived, the potatoes were cold and the salmon was undercooked, despite my husband's request for it to be well done. Our wine glasses and my husband's Perrier were left empty throughout the meal. For the price we paid, we expected better service.

Mike Giordano is a talented chef. While I'm not a professional food critic, I can recognize a delicious meal when I taste one. The portions and plating are excellent. I highly recommend starting with the Jersey corn chowder.

Great menu. Food is really good quality with presentation that is a step above. The tables are awkwardly arranged which cuts down on the ambiance, but the food and service are excellent.
