"What a lovely find, off the beaten track, but still ski in and out, just above the Chabichou, cut across the drag at Anemones piste marker 1. Great meal, lovely huge buffet with fish meats salads, main course and large desert buffet. Given that we're in 1850, the drinks were the cheapest we've seen, great value wine list. Charming staff."

Without question my favourite lunch stop in courchevel, if not the whole three valleys! Located in the usually expensive 1850, Pomme de pain is a beautiful hotel, which serves amazing food for great prices! First of all drinks, a pint of Stella for 5€ in courchevel 1850 is as likely as me entering the London marathon next year. Bottle of Veuve champagne are also cheap at 50€ and a nice bottle of Pinot noir at 18€ is the best steal of them all. The food is a seafood lovers paradise, the all inclusive starter buffet is 23€ or 35€ with a main course and desert too. Oysters, king prawns and the muscles were all Devine. After all the seafood I opted for the gourmet burger which didn’t disappoint either. I really cannot express enough how great this place is, it’s off the main trail so not many people stumble upon it, but sitting on the sunny terrace, eating great food was the highlight of my holiday. To find the PDP the best route is to ski from above 1850 down on to the chabichou blue. It’s not really walkable from resort level as it’s a couple hundred meters above the rest of the town. MUST GO!

Visited twice once for a drink on the First Floor Bar, super comfortable seating, log fire, panoramic views of the mountains and little electronic bells on the tables for service, very cool. Drink prices were so reasonable for this quality venue it was amazing. We were so impressed that we booked a table for lunch later in the week. We were seated on the terrace for our lunch, this was extremely popular on the Sunday afternoon sitting in glorious sunshine. You can either choose from the menu or select the buffet Ski lunch priced at 35 Euros that allows access to a amazing help yourself starter and deserts buffet with free choice of Main from the menu, this offers exceptional value for money. The seafood starters looked superb. Again we were so surprised at the reasonable cost of the wines from the Menu. You need to know where this place is to access as it is not located with lots of passing trade. Cannot recommend this venue for either just a drink or lunch/dinner enough.

We visited this restaurant multiple times over our week long ski trip to Courchevel. The food at lunch-time was excellent with prompt service. Prices are remarkably reasonable for 1850, you can even get a substantial pizza for 10-15 Euros and their tartiflette was excellent. Sitting outside in the sun on the terrace is fantastic. We also visited for some apres-ski drinks (inside) and the decor and ambience is very civilised and chic. Again drinks prices are very reasonable for Courchevel.

Stayed here for the first time since it had the same management team as my old favourite the Courcheneige which is now in new hands. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the food is creative and very high quality, and the service is friendly and efficient. It has a great ski-in and out location yet close to the centre of the town, and a very popular deck for lunch in the sun when the weather is favourable.
