Food was really really good. Decent prices. Drinks were terrible. I don?t think they put even a half a shot in the mix. Plus we asked for salt on the rim of a mojito. Couldn?t even get that the first time. When we were first seated the couple near by was outside smoking a cigarette. (Little did we know) Bus boy comes while the woman?s pocket book and sunglasses are still there and clears their food off the table. All of the plates had at least half of the food left. Father's Day was supposed to be at beach but the insane wind changed those plans so we tried to beat the crowd to Popei's without a reservation, I know very risky, but with a pregnant wife and baby son both very hungry,Jose and his staff got us a table quick and even put the Yankee game on for us. Our waitress Lara ,also pregnant like my wife quickly clicked and exchanged pregnancy craving ,even helping guide us thru the menu to help decide what we wanted, from my lobster and shrimp roll to my wife's fishermen's platter and not to mention probably best garlic bread on the island,,we are literally counting the days to go back
I got a mixed impression about this restaurant. I found the staff warm and friendly. They were helpful in understanding the menu items. I found the preparation of some items left something that should be improved. I ordered a Red Sangria and it was bitter. This tells me that the bartender did not sample the batch before serving it to customers. I also found that some of the flavor profiles on some of the dishes were not up to par. These are things that can be improved upon.
However, the service left something to be desired. My waitress forgot to bring my baked potato, but it wasn’t a big deal since I wouldn't have been able to finish it anyway. She also didn't check back with us after serving the food, and it took quite a while for her to bring the check and process our payment. Perhaps it was just an off night. If I lived nearby, I would certainly return for the delicious food and hope for better service next time.

The wait staff was so pleasant and made us feel comfortable. We had a 4 top and waited for about 20 minutes for our 2 other guests to arrive, staff didn?t make us feel rushed at all. The food was HOT, fresh, and everything we expected it to be. Thank you for the great service Popeis! I see why you?re a neighborhood hit ????????
This isn't exactly a fine dining experience; it's more like a bar with a dining area. The prices are quite reasonable. The pasta was average, but the Long Island chowder was excellent and the ceviche appetizer was also very tasty. I would definitely come back to try more dishes!
Great food and service and it wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be on Mother's Day. Be aware that many of the seafood entrees are MP. Although my favorite entree is more expensive I can still get 2 meals oug of it.
We had a delicious lunch after a morning of outlet shopping. Our waiter was very attentive and helped us celebrate a birthday by surprising us with a delicious slice of cheesecake topped with a candle.

This restaurant needs updating. Carpets are old and need replacing. Food was ok.
