So we went Saturday night with a group of 8 and got seated right away. Our server Jordan was terrific but honestly, that was the best part of the experience. Our table opted for the tasting menu at $65/pp. most of us got the small plate of pork belly something. It was 90% fat and mediocre at best. A couple other got the oyster appy of 2 entire small oysters. One other got the tofu something that only tasted like a salt lick. The beet gnocchi was good but only maybe 4 little gnocchi on the plate. The medium plates were better. I had the octo/scallop dish that was very good. For the large plate I ordered the duck, big mistake. It was nearly raw, very chewy and whatever it was over was terrible...
I usually dislike beets, but knowing the chef’s reputation, I decided to trust him and ordered the beet gnocchi. To my surprise, I actually enjoyed it (though I can’t say I loved it) — quite an achievement for someone like me! For my main course, I had duck, which was cooked to perfection. We also tried the oysters, which were unlike any I had tasted before. Every dish served was fantastic.
I could go on and on about my experiences, but I’ll just say this: I’ve even planned my girlfriend’s birthday dinner at Porch and Proper for a group of 12. I just hope they will be able to accommodate us in April, considering the current coronavirus situation. Don't forget to support your local restauran...
This was my first visit to this restaurant, and it was also my first experience with Lebanese cuisine. I was thoroughly impressed. I genuinely wish I could rate this place 6 out of 5 stars. The quality and portion sizes of the food were outstanding. However, what stood out the most was the exceptional care provided by the owner, staff, and cooks. I had a fantastic experience and can’t wait to recover from this food coma so I can return. I highly recommend coming here!
This restaurant is truly innovative, featuring passionate chefs. I visited for their tasting menu and was thoroughly impressed by every dish and its presentation. The portions are small, but just the right amount. It's an excellent spot for a date night. I'm really saddened to hear they closed due to Covid-19, and I wish them the best of luck when they reopen. We dined there before the ownership changed, and I was a big fan. I hope they maintain that great momentum!

The atmosphere was fantastic and our server was attentive and more than helpful. Most importantly the food was spectacular! We did the chef tasting menu and eac dish was better than the next! We hope this place doesn't get too crowded but also want the owners to do well as it is clear they have put in TONS of time and effort to make Porch and Proper a premier dining experience in Collingwood!
This place is excellent. From the service to the food. I've eaten at a lottttt of great restaurants and this is up there with some of the best Michelin Star restaurants. Definitely recommend the Thai mussels. Steak was also cooked to perfection! Loved this place and will be back!!
My partner and I went here for Valentine's Day, the service was excellent and the food was incredible. We split the honey balsamic mushrooms, I could've had three plates myself they were that good, definitely a stand out.
It was my first time at this establishment. I did not realize how popular of a restaurant it was. Food was really good. Service was a little slow. Seemed like not enough staff. Overall, it was a good experience.

Amazing setting and food. If you are lucky enough to meet the owner Tony who is charming and welcoming. Had the filet mignon with truffle show string fries. Amazing.
Dropped by order taken out food was in a bag on the ground I threw the food out when I got home
