This is one of the best restaurants in Wilmington, it's got a gorgeous outdoor space, the food is outstanding, and the wait staff is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. All steaks and some fish are wood fire grilled, always fresh, the sauces are amazing, and the desserts are wonderful (save room for the coconut cake. They are very accommodating to gluten free needs.
Service was very good, but good quality did not align with prices. The short ribs, apparently award winners on some occasions, and the caesar salad were ordinary. The scallops were good, with a nice charred taste, but they could have been more flavorful. The servers and host were excellent. Everyone was very attentive and made sure we had what we needed.
Port land Grill has stepped up its game. Now has USDA Prime beef, I had the ribeye and it was the best I've had in a while and I have experience in the restaurant business and know beef along with great atmosphere and knowledgeable wait staff are to find a better value. RJ
Food delicious, steaks done right, service excellent. But they do not offer bread or anything to nibble on with your drinks. Also the peach bread pudding, while good was garnished with artificial cream. Disappointing for such an upscale and expensive restaurant Réservez une table maintenant
