Portillo's Downers Grove

I grew up out here and this is one of my favorite places to come back to. Their Chicago-style dogs are fantastic, they have awesome fries, their chopped salad is one of my favorite salads ever, and their cake shakes are to die for. Not to mention the interior is fun to look at. They have tons of seating. They make food very fast and call out your number with a fun little rhyme. On my last visit i left my purse behind and realized it 30 min after we left. I’m thankful for the honest and wonderful people who work there who found my purse and kept it safe until I came to retrieve it. Thanks portillos!

One of the best portillo, if not the best of the whole chain!! The one good is always amazing and the atmosphere is great!! Go For The Italian Beef, Sweet Peppers Dipped With A Chicago Dog, You'll Never Be Disappointed! Friendly staff with a clean environment!! A must stop when you are in the area!!

Super cool place! The chocolate cakes shake it to far the largest! I came back to my childhood to mix my cake and ice cream together. If you go, you have to get a dog.

This is a special portillo with extra spacious rooms and decorations on steroids. Take you back to the old days. Eat. The Chicago dogs are great! All they should be.

Portillo is a chain hot dog / Burger restaurant famous for its hot dog. Food and service are great. Too bad their plant base is hot dog. Try next time.
