I frequently visit the Chicagoland area, and I always make it a point to stop by Portillo's. When I was in California and discovered there was a Portillo's there, I had to check it out. One of my favorite dishes is the Chopped Salad, and the cheese fries are delicious as well. The Italian beef is consistently excellent, and the hot dogs are great too. I've never had a bad experience with any of their food. Don't forget to save some space for the chocolate cake—it’s definitely worth it!
I was there my first time a month ago I ate a Greek salad. I asked the manager later if it come with chicken because mine didnt have any. He was siper nice offered me a dessert..then said come back gor a free one. A month later Im back he wasnt here but they took my word for it. WONDERFUL FEELING THEY REALIZED I WAS TELLING THE TRUTH. GOOD JOB.
I can vouch for everything you have read about this place! What a wonderful spot to hangout and relax with a few friends after work. Authentic food, reasonable price, tasty dishes, and great atmosphere! And for dessert, Porto's is just a few blocks away!
I had higher expectations. The Polish sausage was overcooked, the fries were cold and lacked freshness, and the chocolate cake didn't meet my standards. I was really hoping to enjoy my dinner, but unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. Réservez une table maintenant
We ordered the hot dog meal (Chicago dogs), the chili dog meal, and a double cheeseburger, and everything was delicious! The standout item, however, was the whole chocolate cake we got—it was absolutely scrumptious!
The hot dog was quite disappointing, and the beef sandwiches were inconsistent—one was large while the other was small. I think it would be beneficial to have some Italians on the team to improve the food.
Originally from Chicago and now residing in Las Vegas, I always make it a point to visit Portillo's whenever I'm in Southern California. It's the perfect spot for comfort food and brings a taste of home.
