This superb restaurant, hotel and Bodega are a must visit if in Lagaurdia. It was recommended by the fabulous host of Taberna Herrerias, Logrono check it out too! and we were not disappointed. Tucked away on one of the main streets, this amazing property is the only wine making bodega in Laguardia the others just age the wines in the village . Javier was an amazing host who shared his passion for winemaking, his family story and the history of this amazing property. After our tour and wine tasting we enjoyed a delicious lunch and we have come home with a number of bottles of fine wine to enjoy whilst reminiscing about this very special visit. Excellent and a wonderful find!! No reservations, we just stumbled upon this little gem and had no complaints. We highly recommend trying out the amazing 40 day aged steak. It was a phenomenal steak, so tender and they present it in a fun fashion way. Javier the owner is an amazing gentleman that loved to walk around and check on his guest. We had great conversation and made us feel right at home! The best part of the evening was right after dinner, he was kind enough to show us the wine cellar and tell us alittle history behind it. Truly an amazing experience and we will be visiting here again when we return.
We arrived to this restaurant as a last minute recommendation after the restaurant we had reserved was mistakenly booked for the day before and it was the best mistake. Both service and food were of great quality and the restaurant is aesthetically in sync with the rest of LaGuardia. If in la Rioja, you should go.
