Dinner for two on a Saturday noon seven. We both ordered veal. No apps. It took 45 minutes to get our food. It was terrible. How to screw grilled veal. Ordnet medicine. Well done (both our commands) Maybe they were frozen in microwave for half an hour or sat under heat lamps. We both took two bites and that was it. They were finally taken away. No one asked why two $32.50 pieces were not eaten or if they were to pack them in to take home. When the bill came, I was charged for a big glass of wine instead of a normal glass. Never heard of it. I thought we were in a tourist trap in NYC after a LION KING Sat. Matinee. The food was so bad we laughed all the way to the ice shop for dinner/dessert....
My experience at this restaurant on Valentine's Day was disappointing. The website did not mention that ordering from the regular menu was not possible, which was a letdown as my boyfriend has specific dietary restrictions. We were limited to the fixed price Valentine's Day menu, which had few options. The service was slow, the food arrived cold, and the portions were small. We arrived at 5:30 and left at 8:30, and I had to constantly seek out our waiter for drink refills. I considered not leaving a tip, but I knew it wasn't the waiter's fault - the restaurant appeared to be understaffed. Many other customers were also unhappy with the service. Overall, it was a frustrating dining experience...
We had dinner last night for the first time since they relocated from the beach, which was a bit of a bittersweet moment for us. However, I'm pleased to say that based on this one experience, although the view is not as stunning as before, the quality of their food and service remains fantastic! The lamb chops, a new addition to their expanded menu, are an absolute must-try. I know I won't be able to resist ordering them every time we visit, as they offer an incredible dining experience. Truly memorable—I'll remember this meal for a long time. That's the highest compliment I can give as an amateur food critic.

Adding insult to injury, when we received the bill, we discovered that we were mistakenly charged for a large glass of wine instead of a regular one, catching us off guard. Disappointed, we left feeling somewhat defeated, and even teased that we had unknowingly stumbled into a tourist trap in NYC following a matinee showing of The Lion King. The quality of the food was so poor that we ultimately found ourselves laughing as we made our way to an ice cream shop for a more satisfying dinner and dessert. Luckily, the ice cream was absolutely delicious.
My husband and I selected this restaurant to celebrate our 20th anniversary dinner, and it was a wonderful choice. The food, service, and staff were all amazing, reminding us of our travels in Italy. I had made a reservation and requested a cozy table for two, and they really delivered on that. I highly recommend this restaurant!
We each ordered the Veal Martini and it was incredibly tasty. Our server was well-informed, welcoming, and accommodating. This was our second exceptional meal at Positano. We can't recommend it enough - it's now our go-to spot. We will definitely be coming back.
