Stopped here with an elderly companion who is in a wheelchair at 4:45 on a Wednesday. The restaurant was empty except for approx 4 people at the bar. The hostess asks us if she can help us I tell her we have a party of 2. She disappears for a few minutes and proceeds to come back and tell us that they do not have any tables available on the lower level. She specifically said “we do not have any tables available on the lower level”. The person I am with is capable of going up a step or two, she is in a wheel chair due to stamina issues. So I say “we can take a table up the steps” hostess proceeds to say “those are not available either we have reservations for all of the tables” We get back in...
(9/16/2022)This is going to be a ridiculous review: Best calamari I’ve ever had to date. Crispy and light and perfectly done- not chewy. Also the best marinara I’ve ever had to go along with it. (The standard sauce was fantastic as well) Best Caesar salad I’ve ever had. The romaine was crisp and crunchy- easily jabbed by a fork and crunched pleasantly in our mouths with a light but flavorful dressing and freshly sliced cheese slivers. I had made a reservation for a dinner to celebrate my anniversary. When we arrived, we enjoyed a drink and appetizer, but felt rushed to order our dinner before having a chance to fully review the menu. After placing our dinner order, we requested a glass of wine to complement our meal. However, we waited for 30 minutes after finishing our salad with no sign of our server or our meals. When we asked about the delay, the waiter responded by saying that we were drunk and needed food. Shocked by this false accusation, we decided to leave in disappointment. A few months ago, I visited this restaurant and initially hesitated to leave a review, but feedback is important for improvement. The food was outstanding, I highly recommend trying it out, perhaps as a take-out option. However, the service could use some improvement. My experience with the server was not pleasant. Despite making a reservation, my boyfriend and I were seated in the less appealing area of the restaurant. The server made inappropriate comments throughout our meal, such as insinuating that I may become confrontational after a few drinks. Additionally, there was a strange comment made about tipping. I have dined at Positano's multiple times over the past few years, including four times in the last couple of months, and each meal has been exceptional. The service provided by friendly and professional servers is top-notch. The ambiance is elegant, comfortable, and cozy. I highly recommend this fantastic "neighborhood" restaurant. I was surprised to read negative comments from dissatisfied diners. I suggest that those individuals give Positano's another chance. If this restaurant consistently failed to satisfy its customers, it would not be as popular as it is.
Very accommodating owners who are engaged and genuine in wanting you to enjoy their restaurant. The food is home cooked; not fancy, Italian, which is always consistently delicious. The staff is friendly as well. You feel appreciated dining here. The portions are very generous and the speed of service is good. A favourite in our repertoire and the prices are extremely reasonable. They also have an early dining menu which accommodates many smaller appetites and early diners, which I think is perfect.
A+! It was our first time dining here, and it will not be the last. We had classic Margherita, roasted pepper soup, Arrabiata, and Parmigiana. Everything was so delicious! I definitely recommend this place. Don't judge the book by its cover, lol. WAIT UNTIL YOU GET INSIDE! It might not look attractive outside, but the inside is very nice and intimate. In addition we loved the excellent customer service!
Snowbirds frequenting this warm and friendly restaurant a couple of times a week now. Absolutely every dish has been delicious and inspired. Ask for Kristen or Nikki, they're pros who pull it all together with superior service every time. Réservez une table maintenant
