I have a very small appetite. I tried to order a kids meal even thoughI am much older than a kid. I was told I couldn't have one. I commented that I have done this many times in the past. The manager told me that corporate was not letting anyone get a kids meal unless it was a kid. I didn't have the opportunity to say that I would have paid for an adult meal...I just wanted the smaller portion. The manager told me to never come back. I said I woudn't. I took my 72 year old, 5'4 , 124 pound body and starterd to limp to my home across the street. I was stopped by a police officer. He told me that the manger called the cops and he wanted to make sure that I never ever returned to this Potbelly....
I would give the Potbelly Sandwich Shop in downtown Des Plaines a 5-star rating. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I really appreciated being able to grab a hot sandwich to go quickly. I ordered the 'Wreck,' which definitely lived up to its reputation as a meat lover's dream. They also have a great selection of crunchy chips, including Zapp's New Orleans-style kettle potato chips. Plus, there's plenty of parking available at this Potbelly location, making it convenient to get in and out of the shop.
I come here for lunch once a week and the sandwiches are good every time. All the negative reviews I’ve seen always has something to do with a third party (Uber eats, Door dash, etc).Skip all that ordering ahead, extra fees, and wrong orders and just show up to the storefront and you’ll get taken care of ??it’s too many of you uptight and entitled a people, so go to a fine dining establishment instead if you’re going to be so demanding. The staff are friendly, fast, and efficient.

i’ve seen potbellies all over the place, but I had never been to one until just now. I was not disappointed, it’s a nice little sandwich place but it’s got salads and other options too. I would definitely return, the decor was nice like an old New York deli, and even had outdoor seating, although it was too cold and rainy when we went. Easy parking.
The response I received when my delivery driver went to the wrong address and canceled my order was less than helpful. Instead of offering assistance, I was told, "I don't know what you want me to do about it." A simple solution would have been to remake my order. This was truly the worst customer service experience I've ever had.
Although there has been a notable increase in prices, it still offers great value for money. I genuinely love the vegetable soup paired with my veggie sandwich. The toppings really enhance the overall experience!
The food was quite disappointing. The soup and macaroni and cheese had an unpleasant smell, and the sandwiches lacked flavor. Overall, this location did not meet my expectations.

I ordered online for pick up. I got there and my order was not recieved. I looked at the app and it showed my order was canceled.
Food was the same as 5 years ago, the price was stupid expensive. Last time I eat at potbelly
