If your looking for Queensland best seafood, the look no further. A visit to this amazing seafood fishing trawler/restaurant, located on Cairns Pier. It provides both fresh seafood to take home or dine in. With a great selection to choose from, crabs, crayfish,oysters, prawns, bugs, salmon sashimi to die for. This place is a must for any local or visitor, the waitress were extremely friendly and welcoming, the setting offers a fabulous atmosphere, with a picturesque back drop that's first class. The only way to eat seafood in Cairns on a boat, with icy cold beer and wine. Highly recommend a visit.
We live in Sydney, and have found over recent years that it's often difficult to source really fresh cooked prawns. We were visiting Palm Cove/ Cairns and were delighted to find a restaurant that caught its own seafood. We ordered a prawn and bug platter and a tiger prawn platter. That's a lot for 2 people, but ..... Scrumptious! Plus a Coopers beer on tap! The quintessential Australian experience. Friendly, efficient service from happy wait staff and great ambience. Around $100 for 2 people.
The service was with a smile and often a joke that hit the spot, the prawns and the bugs were fresh, the beer was cold and it was all served quickly. Just watch how much you order - it's tempting to overdo it! However, what more needs to be said? If you're in Cairns and would like a taste of the local seafood while on board a couple of old fishing trawlers, there's no better place to go. The air's salty, the seafood's salty, the humour is salty and the beer is fresh.

Outstanding fresh seafood. Simple. Delicious. Sit where you can find a seat (it's tight but fun, friendly). An appropriately limited menu and what's on it is outstanding. Excellent, friendly service. Prompt delivery of meals. Cold, low/priced drinks. Don't miss this if you want great value, fresh seafood!!
I don't know 100% sure but I have the feeling that you have lunch or dinner on the boat that catched the seafood.. Choice is limited and food is served without side dishes but it doesn't matter because it just tastes damn good.
This was a wonderful way to have lunch. Great atmosphere, fresh seafood. They were accommodating to preparing what I wanted, smaller portion of oysters and sushi sashimi. Selections limited due to freshness.
What a great idea, climb on board an old boat and enjoy the very freshest seafood. Shared a tray of prawns and a glass of house wine. Bliss! Simple food & great value. Highly recommend it!

Seafood is extremely fresh and delicious! Restaurant is set on a small dinghy but definitely value for money - amazing!
