The menu at Prenup is, as is to be expected, meat heavy, but they do offer a vegetarian pizza and a hearty chicken stew, which I was able to enjoy. I really liked the stew – it was thick, creamy and perfect for a winter evening. I also thought it paired nicely with the Affligem Abbey Blonde Ale. I visited in Dec. 2014 for a media tasting. <br/ <br/ This was a U of T central hangout with tons of students even on a weeknight.<br/ <br/ The 2 storey restaurant has a bar on both floors, some fancy seats and gorgeous chandeliers. Don't forget to check out their cool wall of beer bottles. <br/ <br/ The stand out of the restaurant is that they offer over 70 beers on tap from all over the world. The atmosphere is a toned down sophisticated pub that provides a good place for meet ups, small parties and casual get-togethers. The food menu offers a variety of interesting european inspired dishes with some modernized twists to it. If you're looking for a place to try something new, the beer menu has a great selection that is well defined. More sophisticated liqueurs are available as well. We went there for a small celebration and the service was good, music and atmospehere were perfect for us and the patio section was intimate enough without being too obnoxious.
A friend took me to this pub during my last visit to Toronto because he said, quote, "they have all those fancy beers you like." Yes they did have a fantastic beer menu rivaling any menu I have seen in a good while. So we had a great dinner of Croque Monsieur waffles and a cheese burger platter and a couple of Hacker Pshorr pints to wash it all down. We were able to get a nice spot on their patio which fronts onto College which is a very busy street and lots of interesting people-watching too. I would definetely recommend this place and would go back again.
Prenup pub is a great place to go with a bunch of friends who love to try different beers because they have 70 on tap. With a European focused menu with dishes like mussels and frites and schnitzel and a madame monsieur waffle. Upscale pub restaurant that has only been open for 2 months.
I could not believe it I found westvletern 12 Belgium monk trappist beer here. This place has an immense election of beers for the beer geek or just for the lay person. Decent euro Germanic pub food. But the beers.....i was in heaven!
