This is a good coffee stop in very middle of York. Clean tidy and good staff. There are a few outside tables as well as an upstairs area. The downstairs is usually incredibly crowded. Takeaway is often the best option. Food is the same as every Pret. Goodish quality and often a welcome break. The soup is highly recommended.
Nice coffee and food. Upstairs area dominated by students on laptops doing their homework with spiders webs clinging to the top of their coffee cups. Tried mr stareyman tactics but to no avail. Managed to squash on to a table eventually but saw plenty of customers looking for a table but leaving without purchasing.
This restaurant is the perfect spot to grab lunch and a coffee while you're exploring York! I visited twice and enjoyed their delicious Christmas sandwich with coffee - it really hit the spot. The staff were friendly and efficient. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a lunch break in the heart of York.
The coffee was decent, but the restaurant is dirty. Trash bins are overflowing, floors and tables are dirty, and the branch looks untidy and neglected. The toilets were just as bad, with no toilet paper or soap in the dispenser. I would recommend skipping this place. Réservez une table maintenant

The food was decent, but it was difficult to find a table to eat at. I would not recommend visiting between 10am to 2pm as it is very busy. However, I was able to receive a full refund, which was a positive aspect of my experience.
A great range of products and lovely, helpful staff. I’ve been back multiple times because it was so nice. A lovely outdoor area too if you’d like to sit outside in the sun and have a coffee or a cold beverage too.
I ordered 3 sandwiches on Justeat, for friends who were dropping in last minute. 3 hours later, after friends had left they arrived! Prets number is unobtainable. £18 wasted and no refund offered. AVOID!!!!! Réservez une table maintenant
What’s with the ridiculously loud music? It’s not like this is a kids place. Business people come here. Turn that garbage down.
