When we turned up we were taken in a sidedoor behind the bar to be shown to our seats which were next to the bar. The bar area had boxes of wine/alcohol stacked around it with a bin for empty bottles right by our table in front of the bar. Our drinks were prepared and sat on the bar for 10 mins plus with ice melting before they were brought the 2 steps to our table. The toilets and queue for them are immediately behind the food servery!! A member of staff was eating a pizza off the food servery while dinners were being stacked there for customers! A very mediocre and overpriced meal, the chicken was as tough as leather. Portions were small and all food was underwhelming. The toilets, located right by the kitchen, are an absolute disgrace. Filthy and toilet paper strewn everywhere. I imagine this restaurant is frequented by many overseas and UK tourists due to its location right by the river and I dread to think what sort of impression this gives to these visitors. Pleasantly surprised by the experience, didn’t have very high hopes after reading the numerous bad reviews on TA but thought we would try it, as the location is great. We were all very tired after a busy day sightseeing and punting so we were very pleased when the food came quickly. We were a group of 3 Adults and 5 kids all under 11. Kids menu is good and reasonable value. The rest of the food was very tasty. The waitress was lovely, very patient with the kids and happy to make some changes. Overall value not great as quite expensive but no worse than the other chains like pizza express. All in all a very good experience.
Really dissatisfied by this visit , the male manager, I believe, was so out right rude I had to leave before I'd even received my drinks . We were not offered water for our table after being in the restaurant for 20 30 minutes, I asked politely if some could be brought over or if my drink order was on its way , and I was told in these words , to go and sit down . I left and I will not be returning until head office addresses this as I can see its a repeated problem from the reviews on here .

DIABOLICAL. Terrible service. We arrived at this place at 12 o’clock and ordered nearly straight away, our starters then took about 45 minutes to get to us which was only a garlic bread . The toilets weren’t the cleanest ever and a bit wrank. Some of the staff were alright but a few were really really rude. The don’t accept Tesco vouchers anymore. And our banana was greener than a football Pitch . Pizza was decent but that was it. Ashamed. Nice day out apart from this
Unapproachable waitresses. Disappointed in our experience at prezzo this afternoon. The main waitress not sure of her name but she was sitting people to their tables and also bringing food to tables too. She was very abrupt with us, very unapproachable and I felt that she did not want to take care of our table. Maybe she was having a bad day but I do think that it makes a huge difference if you are met with a smile and treated well or not. Very disappointing.
1) Food was repeatedly delayed without an iota of contrition 2) Manager/Owner appeared to say she didn’t appreciate her staff being rudely spoken to Before hearing our complete side of story 3) Staff lied and said she didn’t say anything about our table to her manager 4) Most importantly, food was at best EDIBLE if you are in bibs
Been in Cambridge for the past few weeks with my husband, been to a few places to eat. This place has really nice food and lovely staff, waiting a little long for food but worth it.
