Stopped in here for happy hour because the place we wanted to go to, the newly opened tavern at the Iron Horse, was swamped, and still has a tiny bar, (although we still are excited to visit soon)! Despite my previous few experiences at prohibition being lackluster, my date and I decided to give it another try because it 's got a really nice atmosphere inside and could potentially really be a great Gastro pub... But it is still not! The drinks we ordered took excessively long to arrive, and my Aperol spritz consisted mostly of ice cubes... so I paid $14 for what? I 'm not sure... an orange slice? Can I please have a little cocktail with that water? A verbal altercation broke out between a patron who wasn 't happy with their food/drink and bartender, which was so loud that it completely dominated the entire atmosphere, bringing the vibe down to very stressful rather than the chill happy hour experience we were hoping for. Bartender was extremely aggressive and rather than asking how can I make it right? , she screamed loudly at him, even yelling, I don 't care how many bad reviews you got to give! as he exited. She didn 't hold back from swearing, even though he had little children with him. I guess the owners of this establishment don 't really care about reviews and don 't seem to read them or try to improve, as they don 't look complementary over the last few years. It 's a real shame. Big shout out though to our server, Dana, who kept her head down and kept moving on with a cheerful attitude, and did her very best to serve us and stay positive. She was truly wonderful, and I feel very sorry for all of the staff who have to put up with the BS, which, of course affects their tips. There was nothing she could do about the slow drink service, being that the loud, yappy bartender was too busy engaging in very loud conversation with the barstool people. Dana comped us for the shots we ordered because of the uproar. The negative tone that is unfortunately set by the very subpar forces here really hurt the better part of the staff just trying to do their job and help the patrons have a good time. A real buzzkill. Rated O for obnoxious.
