You will never go wrong with a Doug Katz restaurant. Provenance is just as good, just as creative and just as comfortable as Fire, but with better proximity to great art before or after you dine. My wife's steak was great, served with pureed parsnip and roast brussels sprouts. I nearly always choose one of his vegetarian offerings and they always please. This time I had stuffed cabbage and a tomato sauce, roast mushrooms and topped with a fried egg: went together perfectly. My burrata salad was accompanied by roast spring onions, squash and even some pork. You never know what to expect on the menu other than the results will be highly accomplished.
I like the feel and the idea behind it but just seems to fall a little short. There is no regular menu (just brunch) on Saturday when I went. Very few options for vegetarians which is pretty short-sighted in this day and age. Tries to be an intimate space but really isn't although the view thru the windows is quite nice. Food could just use a bit more flavor overall. Coffee just wasn't hot no matter how many times I got a refill.
I love Provenance and go here at least once a month. The food is inventive, ,fresh, well-prepared and well-presented. Occasionally, I bring someone younger than 18 who is also vegetarian and it would be nice to see a simpler dish for him. I'm not asking for a kids menu, per se, just a less-exotic choice, like a good mac and cheese. Otherwise, love it!!
Great service, excellent drinks, beautiful view. The food was acceptable but not great. Too bad because this place could really make a name for itself if it upped its game on cooking just a notch.

Lovely! Best **** Mary that I've had. It was my birthday and I got a delicious complementary dessert. Museum members get a discount as well! Liz (I believe) was my server and she was very nice!
Absolutely the best dining experience I've had in a long time. The salmon was hot, cooked to perfection and delicious! Many thanks to all who made a great dining experience!
Beautiful view, and excellent overall experience. Brought a friend from Singapore who was only in Cleveland for one day because we wanted to take him someplace lovely.
I have had wonderful meals every time I have dined at Provenance.
