Provisions Bistro Market

It was a wonderful experience! The dining room was nicely appointed and the waiter was very attentive. That night there was a musician who played wonderful range of music. The menu featured three chef-inspired entrées and our table of six ordered all of them. The kitchen had no problem with slight changes and substitutions to some of the side dishes. We ended up sharing our entrées so that each had a chance to taste the all the offerings. We also shared a couple of desserts. The bread putting with whiskey sauce and slice of keylime pie were a perfect ending to the meal. The chef/owner has created a fine dining experience in the downtown district. Provisions just keeps getting better! Their weekly lunch specials are so tasty, and the desserts (bread pudding, for example! are to die for. The turkey club is my favorite, but I also can't do without the bread basket for an appetizer. So glad this gem is in Wharton!

Very enjoyable evening. My only suggestion is , background music should be exactly that...it was a little too loud? Our table may have been too close to speakers? I didn't look for them but now I am thinking that probably is the solution.

I had a great date night with my husband. Dinner was fabulous. Service was top notch and we felt at home. We will definitely be spending more evenings at this gem of a place!

Steak and farmers salad were excellent, sides were nothing special but good. Wine list was limited to Texas wines which limits quality.
