Up front, I probably won't eat here again. The food was delicious, and Leanne, our server was great, but since I don't eat pork for religious reasons, there was little left on the already abbreviated menu to eat. Leanne looked out for us warning that thefries are cooked in lard. Prices were high, but not too bad for locally sourced and organic fare. I could recommend it, butonly for those who eat pork AND insist on fru-fru food.
Three of the seven in our party ordered the crawfish etouffee it was absolutely outstanding! Perfect consistency, spicy without covering up the taste of the crawfish. I could eat this every week. We were hosting a couple from Ohio who was so impressed with Provisions! Just wish you were able to be open more often. Appreciate your getting us out on time to attend the play at the Plaza. Great night in downtown Wharton!
Provisions just keeps getting better! Their weekly lunch specials are so tasty, and the desserts (bread pudding, for example! are to die for. The turkey club is my favorite, but I also can't do without the bread basket for an appetizer. So glad this gem is in Wharton!
Very enjoyable evening. My only suggestion is , background music should be exactly that...it was a little too loud? Our table may have been too close to speakers? I didn't look for them but now I am thinking that probably is the solution. Réservez une table maintenant
Delightful place! Ate entirely too much of the lasagna, leaving no room for dessert. I am also impressed with the environmentally friendly to-go box.
Steak and farmers salad were excellent, sides were nothing special but good. Wine list was limited to Texas wines which limits quality.
The atmosphere is fantastic, the food is delicious and fresh, and the staff are very friendly. I highly recommend this place!
