I am really sorry to write this review. I would not normally write a bad review, but the food was so bad I feel I need to share my experience.The restaurant itself looks very very nice, good ambiance and clean.We were first in the door at 4.50pm to order a take-away. 40 minutes later we received our order. I felt this was an exceedingly long time to wait for 2 curries and 1 naan. Especially since we were the first order in.We ordered a chicken curry, which did not even taste like chicken. It was very chewy and the taste was so bland.We also ordered a beef curry and this was tough and chewy.We love Indian food but this was the first Indian meal we just threw in the bin, the taste was awful.
The buzz of the restaurant on entering is encouraging, knowing that it is so popular sets the bar.. The staff were very welcoming and attentive.. the food was wonderful and the serving sizes were very generous.. Thankfully our waiter did suggest that we probably didn't need that extra serving of rice as even with his suggested amount we still had leftovers to take home. I chose this restaurant not only for it's Gold Plate reputation but also for its menu with its vegetarian/vegan options. We will definitely be back.
Not in the most salubrious part of town, the Punjab can be more than proud of its achievement. Traditional subContinent decor, but not too over-the-top, spotlessly clean, charming staff and pleasant service. The run of the mill Indian dishes were a little more refined than usual and the breads accompanying the meal were excellent. Good wine list. Well worth a trip out to Scarborough to find this pleasant Indian gem. Those Western Suberb foodies would be pleasantly surprised.
Punjab is my favourite Indian restaurant in Perth - I have never had a bad meal from here. You can get takeaway meals too which is slightly cheaper than dining in.Service is always really fast and all the staff are super friendly.Our favourite dishes to get are the lamb korma and the beef karahi - also just recently tried the gulab jamuns which were beautiful - they weren't overly sweet they were just perfect I recommend this place.

I made my first trip here recently after knowing about this place for years, and wish I came sooner! Everything was exceptional- the food, service and decor. I was so impressed by the level of care the waitstaff had for us and the food was amazingly good. In a world filled with Indian restaurants I highly recommend making a trip to this one.
Our large family gathering was catered for with efficiency and great service. The food was absolutely delicious, with our vegan and vegetarian members being equally delighted by their dishes. The atmosphere and surroundings made for a really lovely evening. Definitely return visits in order. Thank you so much!
Family reunion. I loved the venue, pristine and welcoming, clean and lovely decoration. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This is my cousins fave restaurant and I can see why. Wide choice of food to meet all tastes.Loved the wc facilities, it's accessible with parking outside
Recommended and it never let us down, food is cooked in vision of the dining, all dishes looked superb, my starter was huge and the rice for main was enough for 3. You won't be disappointed here.

Excellent decor and good service however extremely disappointed with the mains - we ordered the banquet and all the curries were watery and bland. Raita was sweet ??!!?
Up market Indian with exellent food and great service, A nice and quiet ambience makes it perfect for a romantic dinner.
