Purlieu - Réserver une table

First visit to Purlieu and we loved it. Small, cozy French café/restaurant. The staff is professional (thanks to Allison) and the atmosphere is friendly. We started with a common plate of Artichoke au gratin with garlic butter baguette. Amazing creamy and tasty. I had the Snapper with black lintels and Kathy had the Steak Oscar. My Snapper was delicious and Kathys Steak was perfect. The parts were right. I think that could be one of my new favorites. And for us West Ashley people, it's just over the bridge near Citadel Stadium, so it's a quick trip without coming to King Street Chaos.

Purlieu is a must when in Charleston, SC. Its relaxing atmosphere gives a charming spin on French cuisine and comfort food. Most will go for the burger who should not be overlooked, but risk out and start your evening with the Frog Leg Tarte and the Rabbit Rillet and you will be pleasantly surprised. The detail and presentation that goes into each dish correspond to the taste of these hearty dishes and prices are moderate. Has joined John Zucker and Jeff Williams, as well as their staff for delivering such a breath of fresh air in such a diverse culinary city, Charleston, SC .

100% success rate from our table of 6. Lachs Toast, Frog Leg Puff, Fine Herb Salad and Bouillabaisse were all spectacular!!! Excellent food combined with an elevated and cozy atmosphere... such a guaranteed Charleston gem!
