I ordered 24 wings - 6 mild, 6 parmesan garlic, and 12 BBQ - as well as an 8-cut cheese pizza. The parmesan garlic wings were too overpowering with raw garlic, but the mild wings were delicious - hot, crispy, and flavorful. The BBQ wings were sweet and decent. The pizza had a crunchy crust with airy dough and plenty of cheese. The sauce was bland and could use more garlic, oregano, basil, and salt. Overall, the atmosphere was nice and I would come back to try the sandwiches. Parking was plentiful on the side of the restaurant.
The pizza at this restaurant is delicious. I ordered 2 Greek salads and French onion soup. The soup was a bit small for $7.50, but it was tasty. The salads were just a bowl of chopped romaine lettuce, a sprinkle of feta cheese, a few olives, and maybe one small roasted red pepper. I paid $14.50 for essentially a bowl of lettuce. It had been about 10 years since I last visited this place and I don't plan on returning for another 20 years.
I never received the pizzas I ordered for delivery from this restaurant. They did not send out the two pizzas with the rest of my order. When I called to complain, they suggested I come to the restaurant to pick them up. This was incredibly poor customer service. Overall rating: Food 2, Service 1. Meal type: Dinner. Price per person: $100+.
Family owned and operated for so many years. One of the best spots to get a pizza from in the 518. I always love going to the Purple Pub with my family to have a nice meal together at a good price!

The Purple Pub was always a place to go to get good food at a fair price. I hadn't been in there in quite a while and was disappointed in the menu choices and price increases! Won't be revisiting!
I've lived in the area my entire life and never been here. Boy, have my husband and I been missing out. Fantastic food and service will definitely be back!!
Excellent food, comfortable bar, and top-notch pub. The broiled wings and thick-crust pizza are standout dishes.
