I had the opportunity to visit a Quality Foods restaurant while in Parksville, as they do not have one on the mainland (at least to my knowledge). The restaurant has seating both downstairs and upstairs, with a variety of food options available. My friend opted for a burger and fries from the downstairs menu, while I chose to try the Thai chicken soup and a small pizza from the upstairs menu, where we found a comfortable place to sit. The food was satisfactory, although I did have an issue when an employee unexpectedly cleared away my plate with untouched crackers and bun (which had accompanied my soup) without asking if I was finished. Well this Quality is brand new and shiney! Moving from downtown more towards the highway. The store is much bigger and shares the same floor layout as the Qualicum Beach locale. Its really easy to get around in and they have a great selection of produce. Nice and fresh! With the new larger floor space the selection is wider and offers more unique items. The staff are great! Always helpful and cheery.

Tenesha in the deli at Parksville QF was quick to help me today while I was looking lost in the meat department. They went out of their way to sort me with my purchase AND to cut to my specifications. This took some extra time , but Tenesha really came through and I appreciate the extra effort and excellent quality of care I received. Thanks again.

The Quality Foods restaurant was exceptionally clean and organized. While some dishes may be slightly more expensive than what we typically find on the mainland (for example, Bubbly is $2 more per dish), the friendly staff and unique Chinese cuisine make it a well-worth dining destination. The deli/kitchen section at this restaurant is exceptional! In my opinion, they serve the best Western-style Chinese food on the island. I frequently rely on their pre-made dinners during my work week. The prices are very reasonable and the variety of choices is impressive.

We love to stop here for lunch, you can eat a variety of things for a reasonable price. We usually get Chinese food. That is by far the busiest food counter in the place, so doesn't work well if you are in a rush.

Usually have what I want, though prices are higher for produce. Friendly people working on stocking shelves, always give you a hand to find or reach product. My first choice for espresso beans!

Beautiful new store. Well laid out, bright and spacious. The upstairs patio cafe was fantastic.

I find the prices here are much more bearable than thrifty foods. All the workers are nice
