My gf and I came to Parksville for a summer vacation and chose to stay at a nearby resort. We were seated not long after walking in, at around 10 am for their brunch; however, the table that was first given to us had a lot of food scraps and garbage on the floor, with flies flying around there too. We told our hostess about the food scraps and she thanked us for letting her know, and placed us at another table nearby.Our server immediately took our drinks order, which was great. The drinks came not long after, but then we were ignored for an hour. I understand that they may have been busy, but our server kept walking past us and did not acknowledge us further. My family and I enjoyed brunch at Cedars Restaurant Lounge over the long weekend and it was the tastiest brunch we had on the island! They are super accommodating with dietary restrictions and were kind enough to give us alternatives for dairy and meat choices so we could enjoy the menu! I do recommend making reservations as it tends to be quite busy, although we had a reservation at 10:30 AM we did not get our food until 11:40 AM due to the rush.
Food was absolutely horrible. The Caesar salad was bland, the Gemalli pasta was super salty and undercooked and the prawns were RAW. The turkey club was inedible as there was a NASTY bright pink “cranberry mayo” slathered over the non-toasted bun, over the dry turkey and over the bland bacon. Even the fries were nasty- unsalted, flavourless and chalky. The only good thing about the meal were the belinni and beer.
Discrimination?Okay, weird review because I think they made us go into the lounge because we have a guide dog.The greeter said the restaurant was full, but I observed it was not. Upon leaving, I looked again and it still was not. When they said it was full I thought they were referring to reservations.I felt terrible.Food good, excellent waitress.Wheelchair accessibility: Not friendly for guide dogs. We went to Cedar’s Restaurant for a late lunch for the first time yesterday. Overall the dining experience was good, and the waitress was extremely friendly and responsive, and the prices were not too high. However given the resort setting and the reviews I had read online, I thought the meal might be a little bit better. From the reviews I had read I was expecting to have an outstanding meal.
We took our daughter and her family out for her birthday dinner there. Going out with little twins and a young child can be overwhelming but the staff were incredible with all of us. The service was fantastic and all of the meals were great- very flavorful and very reasonably priced. This restaurant is great for both fine dining and for families. Will recommend it to others for sure!
No seniors menu and not too happy to provide a 1/2 order without letting us know it was a big deal to accommodate. The Eggs Benny we ordered was the worst Eggs Benny I've ever had...I've sat out on their deck a number of times and quite enjoyed the food and service there. Perhaps they're a better lunch supper, restaurant. Certainly wouldn't recommend it for breakfast.
Had a fantastic dinner experience! The restaurant is beautiful, and tonight's special was local halibut, which was the best I've ever tasted. It was incredibly fresh and expertly prepared. The menu offers plenty of other great choices as well. For dessert, we tried the peanut butter pie, and it was delicious. Bruno provided excellent service throughout our meal! I had the beef dip, which was priced at $28. We dined outside and enjoyed the lovely weather. I think it could have benefitted from a bit more cheese and onions, but overall it was a pretty decent sandwich. Thank you! Also, I appreciate the wasp deterrents you had set up around the area!
