Average bar service, unfortunately, my rare beef salad was so overpowered by the pickled cabbage, I couldn't taste the salsa verde, even the chilli, I wouldn't have to write this review, but when I explained this to the lady serving us, she said it's a personal preference that's that. The tapas is great, as good as ever if not even better... however the Sunday lunches have gone down hill lately. Flat Yorkshires (they used to be AMAZING!! Best in North Shields by far) and the gravy tastes straight out of the packet. Waitress told me it 's not, but I 'd have to disagree. The meat is always cooked well, but 'skin left on ' roast potatoes are a big thumbs down from me I 'm afraid. Mash good, smooth and buttery... greens are pretty good, cooked to the bite. Service is always fabulous! Especially Becca! Just please, get those Sunday lunches back on track!
My husband and myself went for Sunday Lunch yesterday and have to say it was absolutely lovely they ran out of roast beef so we opted for the Lamb so tasty and the veg was amazing this was our third meal since lockdown and it won’t be our last, the staff are also lovely and friendly see you soon
Our first visit since the new chef took over. Tapas was mediocre, the crab was excellent, other dishes not so much. Chicken burgers were overcooked with breadcrumbs bordering on being burnt. We didn’t rate the experience, plenty of better options nearby.

Certainly picked up since i was there last. Food better and better service, pity the staff looked liked they slept in what ever they were wearing. Have a touch of class and give them matching shirts. Hoodies, cycle shorts and fleeces just doesnt cut it.
Came here with my mam friend. We all had Sunday lunch it was beautiful. Staff were friendly. I came back a couple of weeks later with my friends just for a few drinks when the tennis was on had a great afternoon then too.
Dropped in thinking it would be a a bar/pub, it’s actually more of a tapas restaurant but with a decent selection of drinks Service was ok, tables were reserved for food but you can grab a stool around the bar Gets busy
We popped into the tapquay as it’s dog friendly The staff were really good Excellent service The food was top class We have only ever had tapas here before so it was a real treat Must try Sunday lunch next

Great little bar. Didn’t plan on eating dinner but ended up having Tapas which was lovely. Everything was tasty. And staff where super friendly.
Really nice restaurant! I have been a couple of times and always was perfect! Good food and lovely atmosphere. Thanks for the great service
