It was my first time here for a birthday celebration. I had high expectations it did not live up to my expectations. I tried the house salad, it was very salty soggy. The waiter apologized offered another side. I tried the green beans. My main course was regular prime rib with baked potato green beans. Unfortunately, it came out cold. A few plates came out cold. They did send out new plates. They came out after our friends had already finished their meals for me only my baked potato was hot. We ate here for an evening meal having not been here for many years. We loved the ambience and the service was very good. However, the food and drinks were a little disappointing. Rae and Jerry's are known for their coctails so I ordered a traditional Gin and Tonic. There was a great selection of premium gin's but there was only a bottom shelf tonic available. This sounds a bit snobby but it makes a huge difference. The food was good but everything was overly salted, ridiculously so. The bread was too salty, the mushrooms, the steaks. Was there for dinner, the prime rib was cooked to perfection and had just the right amount of marbling. The garlic mashed potatoes were good as well. I would have given a 5/5 for the food but I found the lack of options for appetizers and soup a little disappointing. Service was very good, our server was attentive to the needs of my elderly father and his friend. Prices are a little higher than comparable restaurants but the food is worth it.Parking: Parking lot fills up fast. It can be a long walk if you don't get there early.

I highly recommend the lounge.We have been coming here for years and you cannot beat the hot prime rib sandwich served with gravy and shoestring fries. The prime rib is perfectly done and so tender, gravy tastes like homemade. Shoestring fries look a little pale but don't worry, that's how they look normally and they are very good. The atmosphere is great feels like you have entered another time. Great service too. No one does prime rib as well as this place.
Music upon arrival was Christian station and loud on the patio. Can’t hear conversation at the table, and why is it the radio? Old fashioned- did not taste like an old fashioned. Crostini rock hard, stale. Ribs and martini were good. Overall not adequate for the price and reputation. Napkins and hand towels were high quality. Wish the food and bartender had been!
Have nothing bad to say. Our server was amazing. He was polite but not in your face. Maxes us feel welcomed.The food was fantastic. I hade the prime rib steak and just perfect is taste and it melted in my mouth. My wife had the 6 oz New York and she loved it. Great food.We went there July 8th for our 25th anniversary and will definitely go again.
Finally managed to try this place.Amazing. Just amazing.The steak was to die for. Split pea and ham soup was delicious.Service was on point, and I always wanted to dine in a restaurant that feels like you could film a mob movie, or WWII movie in.Will be dining here every time I visit the peg from now on.

Fantastic experience! Service was excellent and our meals were amazing. While the prices are higher end, the amount of food we received and the tastiness was well worth it. The prime rib was huge and beautifully done. Bread pudding was delicious. Highly recommend!
Always an amazing experience! Service was a bit slow due to a massive party but they redeemed with a loaf of bread. Thank you Erin you gave us another amazing experience.
