This was our first time at Ragin Cajun. We had heard about it but wanted to experience it ourselves. We were not disappointed. We had reservations and were seated immediately. My man ordered the Crawfish Elouffee and I ordered the Bayou Bisque. BOTH were excellent!!!! I was full so offered the remainder to my hubby. The noise volume was MUCH better than other South Bay restaurants...we didn't have to yell. We truly appreciated that aspect of our meal. Our waiter was very helpful in answering our questions about the menu. His recommendations were on the spot. He was very friendly and had a good sense of humor. We WILL return. and possibly try some of that Alligator!
I had celebrated my birthday at Ragin Cajun a year ago almost to the day, so I was excited to return. I made a special trip from the San Gabriel Valley in anticipation of a great meal and good service. I ordered the fried clams and the fish and chips and was surprised to find the fish batter void of flavor and the necessary crispy associated with the dish. The dough was soggy. Maybe the batter was not sufficiently fried, but the fish sufficiently cooked. Generally, it was a big disappointment. The $2 margaritas were good, as was the service; however, I will not recommend going out of my way to eat there again.
This was a very disappointing evening. The menu was extremely limited, and the beer and wine selection was even more restricted, with many items unavailable. My house salad consisted mainly of cucumbers, with a small amount of iceberg lettuce, carrots, and tomatoes. The shrimp dish I ordered was satisfactory, but not outstanding. I was offered bread, but it was cold and plain white. I will not be returning and suggest looking for a different restaurant for a better dining experience.
Hadn't been back here for months since my wife and I have been on a low carb diet. They were kind enough to make our favorite Bayou Bisque without the rice. This is our favorite soup in the South Bay. We also ordered the chicken wings which were outstanding. We had the bottomless mimosas which was the perfect pairing for our lunch.

Alligator was great. the darkened cats could have been a little spicier and more darkened. update online menu for the first time in this restaurant went on the line and saw some great elements, but was taken from the menu. drinks were fantastic and our server was great. will be irresistible back.
I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Lisa, at this restaurant. She makes the most delicious homemade peach cobbler. Our waitress, Bridget, was very attentive and did a great job explaining the menu with a friendly personality. We will definitely be back.
The food was authentic cajun complete with juicy frog legs and Red Beans and Rice the likes of which I never expected to find in Los Angeles. Margaritas were delicious.
This is a fantastic spot for special events. The food is delicious and the service is excellent!

THIS IS THE CLOSEST TO NEW ORLEANS FOOD AS I'VE BEEN ABLE TO FIND. LOVE IT!
Good menu selection just not really seasoned enuff to be called cajun.
