We had a mid-week dinner at this suburban restaurant. It was reasonably full for a Wednesday night with a mixture of adult groups and of families. Very relaxed and pleasant environment. I think that they also do take-away. The owner was friendly and service was prompt and helpful. There is also plenty of parking in the carpark. We tried the smallest of the banquets - the restaurant was quite happy to switch out one of the red meat dishes for a fish. Banquets are never adventurous and I would like to come back and do a la carte to try a wider variety of dishes. The quality of food was very good - quite tasty and pleasantly spicy, as requested. I did find that three of the main dishes tended to...

I haven't been to Ramas for a while because I don't live in Canberra any more but whenever I am back there my mind goes to this lovely well run suburban restaurant. Minnie greets at the door with warmth and a smile and the staff seem happy to help. While the fish pakoras, bhajis and bhara are crisp and delicious for entrée, I wait for the main dish - my absolute favourite - Fijian Pork Curry. The second favourite being the Fish Nariel in coconut milk. The Pork Curry is so tender and even at mild has a pleasant kick. Unless you really like HOT don't order it any other way. There is Goat Curry on the menu too but that will be next time. All of the dishes have a distinctly different flavour and...

We had another amazing dinner at Rama’s last night - it never disappoints. We live in Sydney and only go about once a year, but I SO wish it was our local. For a starter we had the roti parcels with pumpkin which are soft and lightly spiced. I notice everyone raves about the pork and we must try that some time, but it's so hard to go past our favourites, the delicious chicken dhai wala and potato & egg curry - both are outstanding dishes, and when we ask for them to be hot, they arrive HOT. Fantastic. We tried the palak panir this time, which was creamy and rich and my favourite of the night. Minnie was warm and welcoming as always, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Look forward to...

After my recent trip to Kuala Lumpur and "Meat the Porkers" I assumed my best Indian fusion food was behind me, and it would be all down hill in this cold little unknown NSW town Canberra. I assumed wrong. I have now discovered astonishing Indian food in Pearce. How do they get the pork so tasty, so zingy so spicy and tender? I am in love with Ramas and can't wait to try their next and highest level of heat/spicy. Don't forget to book; very busy for a freezing Friday. I had to respond to my experience and share it. This is my genuine opinion and I say this because I know I have raved on a bit too much. Ramas deserves it. Réservez une table maintenant

Food came out a little slowly, but overall was good. Lamb Saab especially. Not sure if it was good enough to warrant some of the 5 star reviews. Service was helpful, we had a few requests and they were catered for. Restaurant is getting a little old. Could do with a bit of an update. It was ver popular and 90% full of customers most of the time, so need to book for a Friday/Saturday. Take away orders also happening the whole time, so a little loud, but not too bad to still enjoy the mean and company. No alcohol available unless you byob.

This is definitely the best restaurant in Canberra. The food is amazing, the service is fantastic, the location is great and the staff are like family. How Minnie remembers every single person who visits has me baffled. We have been going there for all of our family events for more years than I can count and never tire of it.Be sure to make a booking, they are very popular!

This could be one of the best Indian restaurants which I've tried. The food was great and the staff are friendly. The don't serve alcohol but BYO is free of charge. If you're in town and like Indian food, try this place you won't regret it.

Went here with a group of friends for dinner. The curry was delicious as were all of the sides and entrees. The service was friendly and professional. This restaurant is BYO and doesn't charge corkage. Will definitely be coming back. Réservez une table maintenant
