I live in Beecroft and am embarrassed by this restaurant. The owner, who pretends he is Italian but isn't, also had an interest in Positanos Pizza place down the road where you could once get a pretty good feed but it is now closed as a result of sheer incompetence. But back to Ravello. I have been to Ravello in Italy and let me tell you, this restaurant is as far removed in style and cuisine as you could ever hope to be from the real deal. There were four of us for dinner and none of the dishes aspired to be anything more than pedestrian. Really, the food is so ordinary it defies belief. The sooner this venue, which was once the old post office, is taken over by someone who respects food, t...

I have developed the habit of regularly having breakfast at Toni Bassi's fabulous Ravello restaurant in Beecroft. Toni is aware of my dietary 'needs' and has designed what he calls the 'Mikie' breakfast. It is a very reasonably priced, generous and healthy meal based on a variety of stir-fried vegetables, with a choice of prosciutto, chicken or smoked salmon, all encased in a fluffy omelette. The 'Mikie' is accompanied by Toni's own fresh wood-fired bread. Inevitably, the breakfast is too big for me and I have the remainder for lunch!

Three friends enjoyed a fabulous brunch at Ravello E Positano on Sunday morning, starting with great coffee, followed by omelettes and eggs Benedict with salmon, all delicious. We enjoyed chatting for an hour or two and enjoyed more coffee before being on our way. Service very good and friendly, and reasonably quick, in a beautiful old building, the old Beecroft Post Office. Easy street parking or only minutes walk to the train station. We thoroughly recommend this little restaurant, despite some unfavourable reviews.

This is a reasonable restaurant. The pizzas are nice with a good choice of toppings and the risotto is very good. Prices are reasonable although service is pretty ordinary. More like a family run cafe than a professional restaurant but the staff and owners are nice enough. Don't expect much from the wine list as it is pretty average and prices are very high for the quality and selection. Location is really good and the outdoor area is excellent for breakfast on a sunny spring morning. Coffee is good. Réservez une table maintenant

The food was good, my husband didn't get the pizza he ordered but he accepted the one he was given anyway. There were 8 of us. Oysters were lovely and fresh. My Americano Pizza was really good, crust thin and beautifully crisp. Pasta and risotto dishes were good as was the veal. We all enjoyed the atmosphere, if any crit it would be the noise but the restaurant was full so that is a good thing. Manager was helpful and memorised our choices from start to finish. I would not hesitate to visit again.

This is a great little local Italian restaurant. They do breakfast, lunch & dinner. We frequent this restaurant & enjoy the food, the atmosphere & the staff. Even though some of them seem a little serious, they are actually quite humorous & always helpful & friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. We often bring friends or just pop in randomly. They have lovely Italian music playing which is relaxing & takes me back to Italy! And they do a good coffee! Love coming here

In a distressed state we stopped for a coffee - lost and the maps weren't helping us plus we were arguing with the GPS. We were saved firstly with a good coffee and then the wonderful boss googled and printed out our route for us. With these directions in hand we drove on to Katoomba with ease. Wouldn't find this service in many cafes and on top of a good coffee. Nice atmosphere too. We watched folk enjoying their food here.

The service we received was very dry with a lot of attitude coming from our waiters. It was Not warm or welcoming at all like an Italian restaurant should be. The food took time to come out and it was lacking seasoning and flavour which made the time not worth waiting for. In my opinion and families it was not authentic Italian at all. Sorry but not a place I would recommend. Réservez une table maintenant

I love the atmosphere at Ravello. The hum of conversation, the sparkle of spontaneous laughter and the oh so wonderful aromas wafting quietly around the tables. The spirit of the staff is lively, funny and above all focused on providing an outstanding dining experience. The menu is impressive with an understandably Italian/Mediterranean bias.Bravo Ravello.
