Ray's on the River

I thought the food was excellent except for the bread before dinner. It seemed a little stale. We had the steak and shrimp and the flavor was excellent. The issues were with the service. We were there for my parent's anniversary so we had our year old daughter. When I asked what kid-friendly drinks they had, he responded with Bud light and then when I asked what food he would recommend for kids, he said, "nothing I know it's not a kid friendly restaurant, but she was and you could be a little more helpful The only other issue was regarding deserts. Beautiful night to sit by the river! (Airplanes were a noisy distraction though Food was good-steak was over-seasoned with salt on one side but, perfectly cooked. Seafood items and sides were delicious. Staff was friendly, personable, however disappointingly, a little slow. We had to ask for bread, s&p, steak accompaniment and empty dishes to be cleared from the very small table several times. Food in general was on the cold side-especially coffee at the end. In our 50 years, my wife and I have never had a dining experience quite like this. Every dish, from the filet and crab to the lobster and calamari, was exceptional. The shrimp, spinach, mashed potatoes, and wine were also top-notch. The desserts and cocktails were the perfect way to end the meal. The service was impeccable and the ambiance was lovely. We paid $400 for the two of us, but it was worth every penny to celebrate my wife's birthday in such a special way.

Great food, wonderful ambiance on the river (we sat at an outside table). We were there for an evening out after a show at the Fox and really enjoyed it. However, the total bill was over for people (two kids- and only mixed drinks. This just seems like a but high for an Atlanta restaurant, Ive paid less at nice NYC restaurants. However, it was really nice Réservez une table maintenant

It was the perfect place to enjoy time with friends we havent seen in a while. The location on the river is beautiful and we sat outside. The food and service were wonderful. Loved the Shrimp and Grits! We will be back

Nice night out for a date, excellent food and service, amazing views of the Chattahoochee and observed a marriage proposal while waiting on the professional and speedy valet, coming back soon
