TERRIBLE SERVICE! After waiting 40 minutes for our food (salad and fish tacos) and being told it "was busy", while watching others get their meals, I finally asked to speak to the manager. Turns out he was our server and wouldn't even come over to our table. I went to the front counter to pay for our drinks and told them to forget the food. He did not apologize for the extremely poor service, just gestured that it was busy. It was a poor first impression on our first night in PEI! I should have read these other terrible reviews and saved ourselves a wasted evening.
It looked busy so we went in. I ordered the seafood platter, wings, and lobster roll. The lobster roll was the worst of the 4 I had in PEI, and the most expensive. The seafood platter was gross - a few scallops that did not taste very fresh and mussels that I ate 2 of and then tossed out, and the wings I'm 95% certain are the President's Choice wings you can pick up at many grocery stores. My wife and I both came to this conclusion separately. I've had maybe 10 boxes of those wings so I'm pretty confident. My worst meal in PEI, and also my most expensive.
Lobster roll was 21.99 We got fish tacos. They were very good. You could chose your side; fries, baked or potato salad. Soft drinks had free refillsAll children's meals were 8.99$ and included a drink and a mini mr.freezeWe were sat in the upper area by the bar (with a 4 year old). We sat and watched 4 staff (3 female and 1 male huddle around the bar chatting and drinking Red Bull in between customers.)I am glad we went because it was a hot day and we needed AC but we won't be back.
We were touring around on our first day in Cavendish and got hungry and the parking lot looked busy enough. Service was slow - slow to receive our drinks, slow to receive very medicore meals and so slow to return that they never cleared our table, let alone ask us if we wanted anything more. We are patient, but this was silly. $100 later - we left. By the way, the baked potatoes were overcooked, dry and an insult to a good potato!

Wow, lots of good food for your money therefore great value. Free wifi and it was strong. I uploaded about 14 pictures in about 2 minutes. The service was great, the food was phenomenal, so good that we asked the manager if the cook was a bonafide chef. The desert was to die for. We had the bread pudding and it was the best one I ever had in my life! I also had the best pina colada ever, so that is the new height of the bar.
Saturday 5th Aug at 6.30 pm - decided to eat here. Place quite busy but still lots of tables available. Took 15 mins to bring drinks order and 35 mins for food to arrive. Grandson visited washroon and said there was water over floor, we thought he was exaggerating but after husband's visit we found it was true plus trash bin was overflowing onto water on floor. He complained to staff. Will not tush back.
We arrived late in New Rustico and this was one of the few restaurants open past 9:00. We walked in after 9pm, were greeted by friendly staff and seated immediately. The service was quick and the food excellent. The fries are the best restaurant fries I've tasted in a long time! My teens thoroughly enjoyed their seafood platter, fish tacos and Beach House burger. I highly recommend this spot.
Lobster roll and fish were so-so. Chips were excellent - thin cut ans crispy on outside, but still soft on inside. Potato salad and cole slaw tasted just like Ziggy's pre-made stuff.

Stopped here for a quick bite. Good was good. Atmosphere a little lacking. Service was good as well. Bucket of muscles was 20 bucks...good cold beer. How can you go wrong
Good burgers, great fries! We also had the chance to sample the new Upstreet sodas. Chowder was as expected for out east.
