the empty plates say everything. we have eaten here as a family at numerous places. the service is always friendly. eating is good and cooked to order. Although they may have gone there, they are warmly welcomed by the locals. it is a great little place to come together for a family. large groups I would recommend booking them. the meals are good value for money. they are currently trying different spirits, including durham gin, which is locally distilled and seedlip is a non-alcoholic gin.

We had a fantastic experience at this pub. The owners were incredibly welcoming, and the locals really embraced us. The beer was excellent, the atmosphere was superb, and they hosted a quiz night on Saturday. It was just perfect! Price per person: £10–20. Food: 4/5. Service: 5/5. Atmosphere: 5/5.

The dining experience was excellent, with high-quality food and attentive service. There's no need to park on the busy main road, as there is convenient parking available at the rear. This charming country pub offers a peaceful atmosphere along with great meals.

I had a wonderful couple of evenings at this place. The owners are fabulous and made me feel very welcome. The locals were friendly and a lot of fun to be around. There’s an excellent selection of beers and spirits. I highly recommend it! Réservez une table maintenant

really fantastic eating and experience. best service we have ever received. such a good and relaxed time that we stayed to play pool and darts with the children and normally we make a hate retreat after dessert. we come back often.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday dinner at The Red Lion. The staff greeted us warmly, and the food was fresh, homemade, and served piping hot. The atmosphere was relaxing, and we will definitely return.
