After a long absence due to COVID restrictions we decided to try the Red Lion for out Sunday Lunch my friend and I had the carvery which was really good with massive home made yorkies and a good choice of meats. We booked a table for the following Friday for our Girls lunch 4 of us all had different meals and really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend a meal at 'The Lion ' .
Great staff and very comfortable seating, food out of this world!!! I had the steak and ale pie and I have to say it was the best I’ve ever had! Never seen a pie with so much steak in it, the flavour was to die for, really beefy with that lovely ale flavour. Superb. My partner had scampi which was a very good size portion and nice and big, cooked to perfection.
Stopped by for an impromptu lunch, having never visited before. Excellent quality, generous portions of homecooked food. The children's meals were of the same high quality as the adults food, and this is often not the case when eating out. We were all really impressed and the kids loved it too. Will definitely be back. Fabulous carvery Sunday lunch with the family over from Dubai, who were mightily impressed. Everything about it was absolutely spot-on and our two young grandchildren were equally well catered for. Lovely decor, beer and staff too. Incredibly clean and friendly and we will certainly be back. It's obviously very popular. Réservez une table maintenant
The carvery at this restaurant was fantastic, with the beef literally melting in your mouth. Today, they offered a special sharing dessert - Victoria sponge - which was absolutely delicious. It was incredibly moist and they gave us a generous portion, even enough for two people. The staff were also excellent.
I have been a loyal customer at this bar for years, but I will not be returning due to a specific staff member named Layla. She is extremely toxic and should not be working in a customer-facing role. She is vindictive and should be approached with caution. The atmosphere at this bar is very exclusive.
Came for lunch to celebrate a birthday.quite quiet so didn't have to wait long.Staff very friendly and helpful. Food hot,fresh,homemade and tasty. Only downside was you could only get a starter if you ordered off lunch menu and not main menu.would definitely go back though.

The venue is nice and the food is decent, but the service is very poor. The lack of customer service skills is disappointing. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
