what can I say I was a bit doubtful when friends said they had tables to dine on the red lion's claw. my last adventure there, although it was a while ago. was less than impressive. I was wrong this time after I showed up. for our meal a few hours too late my wife and I expected a pretty hard ride. how wrong was I that we were conquered like heroes, because the staff was there, were even superior enough to store our meals in the case that we were later. it was great to see this wonderful pub again. our food was presented to us as fresh as if we have just ordered (still not sure as) nothing was too much effort to set up our boat trip for this week. many thanks to rob and lea and the aynho crew.

What a charming pub in this charming quintessentially olde English village. With thick walls and beams this is truly a bit of history. The home cooked food is absolutely delicious. It’s a smallish menu but what they do they do very well with a hearty...plateful you will definitely not go hungry. Friendly staff to look after you and good prices. If you want a gastro pub you’re in the wrong place but we loved it here.

that is a beautiful pub, full character. we had a very warm greeting, as boaters ran through. we were there on the st georges day and enjoyed following the trio of the sausages with maische and eton mess, served in a cross-form. the sausages. were produced locally and delicious. the renter was beautiful. dog-friendly, traditional pub. highly recommended. the Sunday evening quiz was also funny.

nice little friendly pub. nothing was too much annoyed. we had a beautiful meal that was very organized for 22 of us. we went back after the wrestling of church bells for tee and cookies.
