Visited Red Rooster for the first time to try out their new recipe of fried chicken, which my Filipino friends claim to be “close to the famous Jollibee fast-food chicken in the Philippines”. I guess it's correct depends on who cooks it. The first time I tried the fried chicken in store, it tasted meh. The second time tried fried chicken again with delivery, it was good.The Carlton store is small but nicely presented. The staff are very friendly and polite. It’ll be better if customers can see the ordered items on the cashier screen and be given receipts.
Got some veggies at drive through. The corn on the cobs weren’t cooked. They were fridge cold with not a scrap of butter. Got home and had to put them in the microwave and add my own butter. The chips also had to be reheated as not hot and soggy instead of crispy. Heating the corn and chips meant the rest wasn’t that hot by the time we got to eat. I might as well have gone to Coles, if I knew I’d be having to cook! Won’t be returning to red rooster!
Look I’ve always been a KFC dude. As have my family. I got double jabbed on Covid vaccine so I thought i would celebrate and live a little.The fried chicken was yummy and big portioned. More so than KFC.The buttermilk wings were a hit with the kids. So yummy.The nuggets were voted by the kids as better than KFC and maccas.The spicy burger was great.I think we may have turned.
It's a shame Red Rooster isn't available everywhere because it's so **** good. The drive-thru can be a bit of a wait depending on time of day and what you order. But I guess it means they make it fresh. This particular store has always been really hot and fresh each time we've ordered from here.Highly recommend the pineapple fritters. So juicy and a solid way to end the meal. Réservez une table maintenant
It’s not definitely my best experience.I waited in the line for more than minutes.It looks like all the priority was just for drive through orders (It’s understanding). But the staff was just ignoring customers who was waiting on the line.The were also a bit rude.I don’t recommend this place.
Too much waiting. They always ran out of fried chicken. Absolutely poor service. Cant rely on them for takeaways as well as deliveries. Drivers from doordash menulog uber needs to wait for ages to collect it. If you cant do the order on time dont accept it. Time is valuable for everyone.
