7pm booking for a Sat evening for 4 people. When we turned up it was obvious they had no record of our booking and weren 't interested in seeing the automated email I had confirming the booking, and no apology. However they directed us to a table, and soon took our pappadom and drinks order. I noticed the table had been laid with 4 sets of cutlery but only 2 wine glasses and 2 napkins. That 's usually a sign of a disorganised restaurant. It went downhill from here as far as service went. The place wasn 't that busy at this time, but our table seemed to be in a black hole as our food order wasn 't taken until we asked for them to take it, over 30 mins after we had the drinks. No apology for the delay in taking the order. Eventually the food arrived and apart from a mix up with one dish, the food was very good. There was no visits from any waiter after that, until we (again) after a long wait we asked for the bill. We were then given the hot wipes, and a free shot glass each. We were never asked if we wanted desserts until we 'd asked for the bill. Overall, we were there almost 3 hours for a simple 2 course meal. Again, this is a sign of a badly run front of house system. No coordination, and a lack of genuine customer care. I read the reviews and they gave the impression that the service was good, so we were disappointed to find on this particular evening it was poor. Maybe the 'B ' team were on? I really hope they improve.
