Such a great place. I 've gone here twice now. The first occasion was a grab and go, a takeout order of over 10 pizzas for a bachelorette party. We realized after getting home that we were missing a pizza but decided that it was too much of a hassle to try to go back and deal with it (so if you carry out a bunch of pizzas, check your order before you leave)! Honestly though, this is an eat-it-there sort of place. Both times, I 've been so impressed by the freshness and quality of the pizza. Truly delicious. My husband raves about the Italian, but if you avoid meat like I do, rest assured that any of the cheese-heavy options (or a good ole classic Margherita) will undoubtedly satisfy you. Don...
This restaurant has permanently closed, and it's clear that very poor management and the owners' lack of judgment played a significant role. The pizza was great, but issues like the inability to reach the restaurant by phone, long wait times for orders, and early closing hours really took a toll on the business. Des Moines has seen too many establishments fail due to bad management and underwhelming staff. Instead of hiring a large number of employees, it would have been better to focus on hiring a small number of skilled workers and paying them a competitive wage. It’s frustrating to see such potential go to waste!
I've been wanting to check this place out forever and today I was able to go! I got the lunch special of a half pizza and small salad for $7.50. Decent deal! It's kind of out of sight in the picture, but the crust was really blackened on a good portion of it, so that was slightly disappointing but I'm assuming that's all just a timing issue and isn't always a problem! Other than that, the pizza was delicious. The salad was good with many veggies in it, but I would've preferred a bigger ranch. Clean and relaxed atmosphere. I'm interested to go back and try something else!
The restaurant was very clean, and our pizza arrived quickly. I ordered the Margherita pizza and a small walnut salad. The salad was well-seasoned and delicious. The pizza featured a thin crust and was cooked in a wood-fired oven. Everything was great and exceeded my expectations. The only downside was that their gelato fridge was broken, so I didn't get to try the gelato! I'll definitely have to come back! Réservez une table maintenant
One of my favorite pizza chains! They consistently serve delicious Neapolitan-style pizza. You can also bring olive oil and balsamic vinegar to your table. For adults, they offer a selection of beer and wine, while kids can enjoy gelato (which is great for adults too!). The service is always friendly. I make it a point to dine here whenever I'm in Des Moines.
I usually really enjoy this restaurant, but I've had several instances in the past few months where they haven't answered the phone. It's difficult to place a takeout order when they don't pick up! I just tried calling for 15 minutes tonight with no success. I think it's time to look for a new option.
