There has been an Asian Restaurant at this site for some time but it was not called Relish Palace. Not sure when the name changed but as it is just up the road from the Palace Cinema we decided to try a pre-movie dinner recently... and it was very good.It is a cut above the 'cheap and cheerfuls' in the area but still has an informal yet classy feel.The menu is surprisingly extensive and contains all the usual favourites. We had Kung Pao chicken and Thai fish fillets. Both meals were fresh and flavoursome and at around $16 were good value.I gather this is a family business because the service was really friendly. Love the food here, very authentic flavor of Szechuan food, with a great combination of home cooking and modified dishes of southeast asian flavors. My favorite dishes are sweet tender soft shell crab and grilled fish, also love the assorted hot pot, all have a great mixture of meat and vegie in tasty home made soup, i have to say the tastes are profound and memorable. Not only that, the serving size are big with a reasonable price, highly recommended!
This charming Chinese restaurant has become a regular order for us through Menulog. We finally decided to dine in one night and opted for the banquet. I can't recall the exact price, but it was around $50-60 and was definitely worth it as we left feeling completely satisfied. The food is authentic with a touch of Western influence and the portions are quite generous.
This Chinese restaurant in Balwyn is one of the best I've ever been to! The food combines Sichuan and Dongbei styles, and always exceeds my expectations in both quantity and taste. I'm thrilled that it's located in Balwyn, so I can enjoy delicious food without having to drive all the way to the city or Box Hill. A must-try restaurant!

I had been wanting to try this restaurant since I moved to Balwyn, so I decided to celebrate my friend's birthday here last Sunday with dinner. We tried a variety of dishes, including my favorite crab noodles and oysters, and we loved them. It was a fantastic experience! I highly recommend this restaurant.
Oh dear. Where to begin. If you want dry food with rice and no sauce then this place is for you. Five of us came for lunch, everything was dry and bland. Barely a vegetable to be seen. We chose this place based on other reviews being so positive. This was not our experience at all. Never again.
Nice little restaunt. Very lovely staff and fantastic dishes. We had very good experince there. The crabs always fresh and delicious, never let us down. love It！

Best Chinese food around! Love the chef special seafood and lamb ribs. Great service and delicious food. one of my favourite places. Highly recommended.
