Now, let's talk about the food. The crab cake appetizer was the best we've ever had! It was mostly pure crab with just enough breadcrumbs on the outside to hold it together, featuring large chunks of crab. Delicious! We had heard repeatedly that Repeal has the best steaks in the city, so we felt we had to try them. Unfortunately, we didn't agree. My filet was overcooked and actually charred on one side, even though I requested it medium well (with a bit of pink). My husband’s steak was undercooked despite him ordering medium well, too. Quality of ingredients and expertise of the chefs was so evident. The crabcakes were the best I've had in 20 years.  My steak was cooked to perfection, and the creamed spinach was a total delight. Be sure not to miss the bread pudding!
Great restaurant /bar located conveniently in the Hotel Distil right in the heart of bourbon row in downtown Louisville. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were delicious. I'd definitely dine here again.
Excellent service, fantastic steak and salmon, beautiful seating, fabulous dessert, and loved my Old Fashioned. Truly grateful for a great evening with my husband, celebrating my 60th B day! So glad we selected Repeal.

Our waiter, Keith, was absolutely amazing! He added a personal touch to every aspect of our experience. This restaurant truly embodies professionalism, and we feel so fortunate to have discovered such a special spot!
A definite must stop in Louisville. The bread alone is worth the trip. Steaks cooked to perfection. Definitely order the whipped mashed potatoes. The signature old fashioned are unique. Service was impeccable.
We loved it! It was our first time there and I commented that I could easily eat there for a week straight for all the options on the menu. The crab cakes are a must!!
