We used to eat at Bepi every once in a while for more than 20 years due to its central location, great atmosphere and good Italian food. The last time we went was just before the old owner retired, and all was good as expected.Now we went for the first time after the new owner took over... what an unpleasant surprise. The pizza we were served was outright disgusting. The base seemed to be ready made / pre-produced, the toppings not worth mentioning, and it tasted worse than some frozen supermarket pizzas.Since it is rather difficult to 'unlearn' how to make a decent pizza base, topping it with fresh ingredients and finishing it in a professional pizza oven I believe the decision to serve thi...
Wir sind letztens nach einem Shopping-Tag dort eingekeht. Das Wetter war gut und wir konnten draußen auf der Breite Straße sitzen und dem Treiben dort zuschauen. Das Essen - typisch italienisch - war lecker und nicht überteuert. Der Service war schnell und aufmerksam. Man kann dort ganz zwanglos auch mit weiteren Gästen und dem Personal ins Gespräch kommen. Das macht das ganze sehr sympatisch! Wir kommen gerne wieder.
first return to carol so that after returning canaries we decided to go italian while in carols. eating first class and small intimate style very relaxing. now on our coffee and wine to finish. we had both pasta. I had tortellini with tomato. .and other half had fatuccine. great meals and very filling. Hopefully we get another chance to try desserts before we go home. it is worth looking for this small facility.
Es gibt viele italienische Restaurants in Köln. Bei Bepi eignet sich lediglich dann, wenn nach dem Großeinkauf der Hunger kommt. Der Gastraum ist etwas lauter, so dass Unterhaltungen nicht unbedingt möglich sind. Preise sind ok. Die Pizza ist nichts besonderes aber auch nicht schlecht!!!

massive disappointment, we thought we would stop for a fast meal while we returned to the hotel from the Dutch quarter. as if we were an annoying to the waiter, it waits ridiculously long for us to eat, and when we got it, we understood why the table.
Pizza war sehr mittelmäßig, nicht mit einem lecker und kross gebacken wie beim Italiener, wie aus der Pfanne. Bruschetta hingegen sehr lecker.Service sehr mittelmäßig und in freundlicher Ton.
service extremely nice and our pizzas have tasted very well. the peperoni and garlic sauces for pizza were also very tasty were served quickly.
