Restaurant Briand AG

There are two restaurants on the slopes at Mittelstation - the Alpengruss and Briand. On a day in peak season the Alpengruss, with its table service, was full, so we visited Briand. Here there were quite a few tables available (a clue, maybe....). It is self service. Being busy, the staff on the counter were rushed off their feet and it all felt a bit stressed. You order, pay and then wait for your food. Unfortunately my order went missing and when I left my tray to look for someone on the restaurant floor to help, the tray was whisked away, and I can only say that the response to the mini debacle was rude (my fault, I shouldn't have left my tray unattended) - the female staff were kind, the...

Tutti gli anni, quando trascorriamo qualche giorno nella bella cittadina di Leukerbad molto frequentata per le sue eccellenti acque termali, saliamo sul Torrent per gustarci al Briand una favolosa fonduta di formaggio tipicamentge del posto.Che dire: grande disponibilità da parte dei giovani proprietari, un servizio attento e accurato, dei prezzi assolutamente concorrenziali il piacere di vedere con quanta gentilezza sono trattati gli ospiti. La strada per arrivarci é piuttosto lunga anche si arriva sul posto in auto, ma, per passare una serata in compagnia è il posto giusto .Offerti caffé e digestivo.Ottimi i bianchi della regione

Der Selbstbedienungsbereich sieht sehr schön und einladend aus. Doch leider ist der Boden mit den Skischuhen kaum begehbar. Er ist extrem rutschig und ohne mich an der Theke festzuhalten gab es kein durchkommen. Meiner Ansicht nach müsste eine Antirutschmatte gelegt werden um mögliche Ausrutscher zu verhindern und sicher durch die Selbstbedienung zu gelangen.Leider war die Dame an der Kasse sehr unfreundlich.

Albinen, resp. Flaschen ist insbesondere im Winter stark frequentiert, so auch das Restaurant der Familie Briand. Hier kocht der Chef persönlich. Der Service und auch die Gerichte sind von bester Qualität. Die Terasse ist sehr schön, mit wunderbarer Aussicht. Réservez une table maintenant

The best feature is the amazing panoramic view and the convenience to have a meal half-way between Rinderhuette and Flashen. The food is ok, the roestis a bit too oily and not crispy and the menu altogether lacks originality.

Situated at midlestation Flachen lift. Suggests good offers and very tasty on daily menu, 3 types of soupes and pastas, entrecotes, steaks, sausages, salad, 2 dessert types. Excellent terrasse with view on mountains.

Si la maison est typique et ancienne, l’intérieur est totalement rénové et la cuisine est faite à la demande. Bravo !
