Restaurant CARO & CO

We were staying overnight near Bazas and our hotel recommended Caro and Co. We were delighted with our meal and with the whole atmosphere. We both ate the menu at and chose the same dishes. The beef from the region was succulent and cooked...rarely to perfection. It came with a delicious sauce and very surprisingly interesting carrots as well as delicious pommes purée. As starter we had the pate de foie gras which was melt in the mouth and all you could wish and was served with super crunchy whole grain toast. The dessert was very inventive and we thoroughly recommend Caro’s apricot and ginger with buffalo mozzarella. It was a taste sensation. We had a moderately priced bottle of local red Graves which came with some expert recommendations from our very efficient waitress who spoke excellent English. The establishment had to deal with some difficulties due to lack of Covid passes whilst we were eating and they did this with courtesy and firmness. I can recommend this establishment absolutely and thank the team very much for a wonderful meal and a super evening

As we were staying in the area for a few days we visited most of the restaurants and cafe's around the Cathedral of Bazas. Caro and Co was certainly one of the best and we ended up having dinner and lunch as well as...the odd coffee or glass of Rose several times. Caroline herself was a wonderful host and on our last day ran after us to say goodbye with a bottle of wine! Food was superb and the service was quick and friendly. Together with great views of the magnificent cathedral what more could you ask for! Thank you Caro and Co....we will be back

Well the menu is mostly meat, but the meals we picked I had sea bass with spelt risotto which was cooked perfectly and my other half had baked Camembert with honey, pear and walnuts on, served with salad, salsa and chips. there were slivers...of raw veg for flavour on both dishes. The food was all made to order and tasted so good, I would definitely go there again. Even though we are pescatarians the meat dishes going out looked scrumptious too. Lovely dining room and staff all friendly and welcoming

The chef is one of my favorites in town, often times adding South African influences into dishes. Her plating is beautiful and ingredients are fresh and local. Great lunch menus during the week

Tucked in one corner of the church square, a great place to people watch. Chairs and tables on the pavement. Apple cheesecake was delicious
