Restaurant Cartier

Like a previous reviewer we dined here on a Monday evening when most other restaurants in Quillon were closed. We had booked earlier in the day which was just as well as there was a large party of locals eating as well as hotel guests...and other diners so few if any spare tables. The euro menu was limited in choice but what was there was very good. I had the veloute with mushrooms (if I have one criticism it would be that it was a little short on seasoning but then that\'s down to personal taste) followed by a very good bavette with wonderful Dauphinois potatoes and then a tarte tatin which, whilst not the best I\'ve ever eaten was still delicious. My other half enjoyed an excellant cassoulet followed by cheese. The wine list was comprehensive and we enjoyed a very good Corbiere recommended by the waiter and decanted accordingly. Service was extremely friendly and professional. The whole bill including drinks beforehand and coffee to finish came in at just over euros great value for a good meal in very pleasant surroundings.

After a very long travel day I checked in to this hotel and had a light and delicious dinner. The menu is really interesting, I only had an entrée, a cheering glass of the Blanquette de Limoux the original French sparkling wine, according to...some) and a delicious glass of red wine. I watched other diners enjoy beautiful looking dishes, one couple had cassoulet, the portions were very generous and they seemed to be very happy with their choice.! Staff was very friendly and welcoming and they spoke English and even offered a menu in English. Lovely place. Great food. Relaxed ambience. Merci!

We stayed at the Hotel Cartier for a week and had dinners at the hotel, along with one breakfast. All the food was good, but especially the Mother\'s Day dinner with veal steak, lobster bisque and a flight of wines including special sparkling...Blanquette, and an dessert made to look like a candied apple (really sorbet) on chocolate sauce. Other meals were more local type foods, with a really good apple tart. Menus available in English. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Fell upon this in the pouring rain! Warm welcome by friendly, helpful staff. My friends and I found the food to be excellent! Vegan lasagne for my picky vegetarian friend was the best she had ever had. Tarte tatin was amazing, profiteroles melted in the...mouth. Will be back, thank you!

Cozy atmosphere indoors, some seating outside. Very attentive staff. I have eaten there three times this summer and have never been disappointed!
