In an area where often just the normal touristic German food is offered we did not expect to find such a charming space with exceptional food. We...did order the course dinner and it was superb. We started with a salad with quails, followed by an asparagus soup with smoked oyster mushrooms. The third course was a flamed cod carpaccio. Barbary breast, lentil and orange salad, chicory was the main course. The desert was a selection of Creme brule and other good stuff. you would not expect a great fish restaurant in oberhausen, but chamai is really a great place! fish is in focus, but also other dishes such as very delicious meat or even vegan/vegetarian dishes are very good. if you want to have great fish dishes, chamai is the right place for them!
