We stumbled across this restaurant and asked for a table at around 7pm and I think we must have got the last available table. At 7.30 we sat down and the place rapidly filled. First they serve garlic soup which is delicious. Then starter, main and desert. If you go for the dearest option there is a cheese board in between. And the selection and quantity is huge. The staff in the main are family and are very friendly, English is very well spoken. It is the nearest we came to proper French cuisine, not frites with everything. Half a bottle of Bergerac house wine €7 and all wines reasonably priced. We returned two days later and were not disappointed, it is a lovely setting as well just opposite...

Situated bang in the centre of this charming village, just opposite the abbey is this small, local restaurant. It was a hot day and busy but the service was quick and very friendly. We ordered the set menu at 15.50 euros. This started with an excellent garlic soup which I have unsuccessfully tried to replicate since my return home. Second plate was a large slab of duck liver pate with salad. For the main course I had the duck legs with sauteed potatoes and my husband had braised beef, both were very good. There was a wide choice of deserts or a generous portion of selected cheeses. With a nice bottle of wine this came to 45 euros in total. Strongly recommended.

The table settings are wonderful, real napkins, colour coordinated to tablecloth, Nice glasses, etc, The ambience was lovely. We sat inside, as we don't like the chance of smokers. The food was very good, I am a private chef, and the welcome was warm and professional. The quality of ingredients good, the presentation was excellent also.2 choices for every course, and 3 set menus varying in price, upwards from 15€, definately worth the money,4 courses, all cooked very well.Definately will go back, and so far, the best restaurant we have discovered. In this area.Thank you, for a lovely lunch

We were invited by friends for an evening meal and this restaurant was selected because many alternatives were closed. We had visited several years previously but did not rate it particularly highly. The evening menu was good value at €26 for soup and four course. There were four options for the starters, main courses and deserts. The food was better than average quality but not good enough to be rated as "very good". The wines and coffee were reasonably priced. Service was good. Location was very pleasant sitting outside looking onto the square.

Great little restaurant that served the best meal we had while in France for the price for our 11 day trip. We ate at the local Michelin rated restaurant the following night but all agreed this was the best bang for our buck. They had a set menu for €15 that came with a good soup, salad with salmon, roast beef potatoes and vegetables and finally dessert. They also had a house wine for six euros which was great.Definitely eat here if staying in town
