We had so much fun, finding Laugerie Bass and eating there. It was featured in one of Martin Walker's books about Bruno, Chief of Police in the fictional St. Denis, not too far from Les Eyzies. Good friends of Brunos have their wedding feast at...Laugerie Basse. We couldn't wait to eat there. First, we love going where people of the area really go, and at the end of October I would guess the lunch crowd was about one quarter tourists and three quarters locals. Oh là là, cet endroit a un cadre merveilleux. Ils offrent une excellente cuisine locale, servie avec chaleur. Ils étaient occupés mais attentifs. La nourriture était savoureuse, y compris la soupe supplémentaire servie en plus du menu. Nous n'avons pas été pressés et avons été...fait sentir spécial. Certainement vaut le prix modéré qu'ils facturent. Nous reviendrons.

We had been recommended to the restaurant for its view and cuisine. the view is very beautiful of the terrace, but the dishes are not worth their price at all. very few fries on the plates, the meat was not tender at all, the dishes are not quite substantial. The service is still good, but I don't really recommend this restaurant.

We read good reviews. Our vacation home was on a runaway from this restaurant. It's a fine restaurant for lunch or dinner if you don't make high demands. Not many negative points, nice people, good food and a very special place.

Le propriétaire est un excellent cuisinier ! Tout ce que nous avons goûté était délicieux pour un prix très correct. Excellente expérience. Les habitants locaux nous y ont envoyés et c'était un bon conseil !
