All wonderful. Starting from the picturesque village of Gruyeres, which is cute and extremely quiet at night. We spent 2 days at this place and had a typical Swiss gastronomic experience in this lovely restaurant. The atmosphere was extremely welcoming, the service very cordial, plus...a kind of terrace enclosed with glass, giving a spectacular view of the valley below the village. There we ordered two very typical dishes from the region. The Fondue and Raclette. All accompanied by a wonderful wine indicated by our waitress. The final set of the work resulted in one of the best gastronomic experiences of all the trips I have ever done. Unforgettable . And all this with my wife, mother and my 2 daughters.
Went for lunch with friends. The food was okay but in the end when I asked for a macchiato they gave me a latte when I said this is not what I ordered the waitress went off and was so rude, screaming at us saying...this is what we ordered and they will charge us for this and she walked off came back and we asked her please to change it and she started to shout again and complained about us to other guests. One of our friends spoke french she was the one who ordered for us so it is not like there was a language barrier. I have never witnessed service like this it was the worse restaurant experience I've ever had!!! Absolutely appalling!!!
There are a number of similar looking restaurants in the main street of this village. We had made the booking before the arrival and something so open. The greeting and service was friendly and informal. We had the BBQ, a raclette and a rusti. They were all very good and, according to Swiss standard, cheap
It was a family lunch with visitors from abroad, we sat next to the window on the panoramic terrasse and everyone loved that. The fondue was good (but have had better in the region around) and the deserts excellent. So this is a good restaurant...for a touristic place, I recommend it.
