Mon épouse et moi avons mangé au restaurant du domaine de Fompeyre. Nous avons apprécié un excellent dîner à L'Orangeraie, nous avons choisi le menu à 37 euros (voir photos) avec des verres de sauternes tout au long du repas du soir. Comme entrée, ma femme a choisi les oeufs et les champignons appelés "oeufs brouillés aux cèpes", tandis que j'ai commandé les gambas. Notre plat principal était. Comme dessert, j'ai pris un chocolat et une poire faits maison, accompagnés d'une glace chantilly (voir photo), ma femme a choisi la baie de terre avec chantilly maison appelée "aumonière fraises chantilly" (voir photo). Nous avons vraiment apprécié cette cuisine bien cuisinée de qualité, et le serveur...
Le repas du soir a été servi sur une grande terrasse en plein air, en partie en camping. Sous les tentes, des ventilateurs soufflaient, donc le vent était libre, ce qui a eu pour conséquence que nous avions froid. Les choses se sont détériorées très lentement. Mon entrée de salade de gésiers était bonne, la garniture à l'orange était très étrange, ce qui a suivi n'était pas bon. Le dessert de fromages était moyen. Le pire a été de pleurer dans le verre, j'ai choisi deux Bordeaux rouges supposément de très bons millésimes. La serveuse a apporté le premier verre sans me montrer la bouteille. Ce n'était pas très bon, donc j'ai demandé à voir la bouteille avant qu'elle ne verse le deuxième verre...

Dinner was set up on a large outdoor terrace,partly under tents. Below the tents ceiling fans were blowing,so was the wind outdoors,the end result was that we were cold. To make matters worse service was very slow. For the food my appetizer of gesier salad...was good,the beef with very strange orange garnish that followed was not good. Dessert of cheeses was average at best. The worse part was wine by the glass,I chose two red Bordeaux supposedly fairly good vintages. The waitress brought the first glass filled without showing me the bottle. It was not very good so I asked to see the bottle before she poured me the second one. However she repeated the same process claiming there was a machin...

Le jardin d'hiver offre une belle vue sur la cathédrale. L'ambiance y est très agréable. Le menu est intéressant et joliment présenté. Le service était bon et le choix était correct, même si un peu trop cher. Je recommande cet endroit pour une occasion spéciale, comme un anniversaire.
Conservatory has good views out towards the cathedral. Very pleasant environment. Interesting menu beautifully presented. Service was fine and wine choice was ok, if a little overpriced. Recommend for a special occasion i.e. birthday
