Restaurant Duguay Trouin

We've been there for lunch, left with mixed feelings: the recommendations from the staff were vague, as the waitress hadn't tried half the menu card my order was misunderstood; I got the right fish, wrong recipe, although very good. the execution was...very good, but it did lack some creativity... very, very traditional. So the food was very good, the service could be improved, and the kitchen could be more modern (maybe it is, but the staff couldn't help me there).

The locals cook fish in this manner but it is hard to find in a restaurant. This was just as we had hoped. The service and atmosphere were so typical of a good French restaurant as many guests were locals out for a classic meal...on the weekend Always a good sign to look for Location on the quay was perfect.

We chose the 3 course menu for euro32 and were very impressed with the choice. Being fish lovers we went for the daily special and the pot au feu. Fish was expertly cooked and tasted of the sea. Very attentive staff who looked after us. We would recommend to all fish lovers.

We had a great dinner overlooking the river and port. Seafood was fresh and wine was great. We preferred it in Le Pouliguen as in La Baule.
