Wir sind hin und her gerissen. Das Hotel Wartensee ist ansich sehr schön, aber die Betreiber ruhen sich auf dem schönen Rundherum und der Lage aus. Check in war unprofessionell, man bekommt keinerlei Infos über Check out, Frühstückszeit ect.. Auf die Frage wann die Zahnradbahn fährt hiess es, man solle sich selber informieren und die SBB ab rubterladen. Das Zimmer ist leider keine 200Fr/Nacht wert! Zwar sauber aber keinerlei Wohlfühlstimmung. Kalt und kahl. Keine Wasserflasche, keine Steckdose beim Bett, keine Bodylotion ect.. Abendessen war dafür einfache Spitze! Kompliment an die Küche. Esssaal wie eine Mensa. Nicht einmal Tischsets. Keine Decko, kein Ambiente, Kerze ect. Beim Frühstück br...
Loved our 1 night stay at the Schloss Wartensee. It offers a good mix of old building and renovated functional rooms, with a touch of design. Price value is good. Advice: during the Autumn season, you may save the costs of reserving a room with Lake view. In the evening it was totally black, and in the morning, because of the fog, it was totally white and nothing to see : . Besides, a kilometer down the slope below the hôtel, there is a highway with permanent traffic hence you are better off with a room at the back towards the hill. The location is beautiful with views over the lake and romantic garden. Parking is free. Close vicinity to the train station. The room was okay, the only disturbing thing was that the wall with the neighboring bathroom was very thin so you could literally hear everything. The service to get drinks etc. outside in the garden was practically non existent. We had dinner in the hotel which was a great mistake. Completely unprofessional performance with again non existent service, small portions, serving in bowls and big prices. For us it was the first and last time visiting this place.
Incredibly beautiful hotel, perfectly converted with the old castle walls and the newly designed rooms. Very well done. Furthermore, the food and service were just perfect. All wishes were read from your lips... we would be happy to come back to the next birthday party
