we were so enchanted by this place. we had difficulty getting during our stay in lyon and burgundy reservations. on our last day, which is the most holy day and thus a day where almost everything is closed, I tried in broken...French from nuits sain georges to beaune to find a place for our last lunch. I almost cried when the owner of the la goutte d' or not only the phone, but spoke English and could accommodate us. that and some decent food would have been something. but when we arrived at the restaurant, her service level was impeccable. the wine list is extensive, with a lot of weeping from all over France. their knowledge of the wine properties and their level of wine service were remar...
great concept while limiting, beautiful wine list and amazing host. during the confinement la goutte D’OR offered dishes to take away: pizza and Japanese eating to fair trips. I was surprised and impressed by the wine list. the sommelier is the enchanting Japanese woman who is not...only very well familiar with local weeps, winzers and crus, but also with international weeps. I wish I could talk to her for hours. eating is fresh, seasonal, French-Asian, traditional, light and hearty. I went there during the border for the pull-out dishes, but also friends when they had just opened the terrace. beautiful atmosphere, very good wine glasses and delicious meals!
Nous avons marché depuis le centre de Meursault en descendant une petite colline jusqu'au restaurant où nous avons dîné dans une cour. La nourriture était assez bonne sauf le steak qui n'était pas inspiré. Le vin Pommard était très bon. Il y avait un élément qui brise le charme. Le chef, qui semblait plutôt sympa, a aidé en apportant les différents plats aux tables de la cour. Malheureusement, son tablier était sale et taché, ce qui nuisait vraiment à l'ambiance. Espérons que ce soit une aberration d’une nuit. Les clients du restaurant méritent mieux.
We ate twice at La Goutte D’or during our stay in Meursault, sitting in their wonderful courtyard. We emailed in advance to see if a vegetarian menu could be offered. The restaurant was only too happy to create a bespoke menu, putting together a different...set of inventive and creative dishes for each of our meals. As a group, we sampled most of the restaurant’s dishes. Their classic dishes of rib of beef with Bearnaise sauce are every bit as good as their Japanese influenced cuisine. We stopped in between visits to wineries, arriving just prior to their posted closing time. The hostess was very accommodating and charming! She didn’t rush us at all, and we enjoyed a wonderful meal in the courtyard, just under the vines. My friend took the...fixed menu a tomato salad with burrata, followed by roast chicken and veggies. I also had the burrata and tomatoes, followed by delicious scallops and beets (from the a la carte menu). So fantastic! For dessert, the tiramisu and chocolate mousse blanc. Superb!
Nous avons mangé ici lors de notre première soirée à Meursault. La promenade du centre est charmante et ajoute au plaisir de s'y rendre. Nous avons tous les deux choisi le menu et cela ne nous a pas du tout déçus. Toutes les assiettes avaient une sensation vraiment fraîche et légère. Les informations sur les vins étaient les bienvenues et données de manière informative et amicale. Nous étions très satisfaits de nos choix. La terrasse extérieure ajoute à une soirée relaxante et agréable.
En raison d'un malentendu avec l'horaire de notre réservation, nous sommes arrivés plus d'une heure en retard et malgré cela, l'équipe n'aurait pu être plus aimable ou accommodante. La nourriture elle-même était simple, française et délicieuse. Le filet de bœuf était tout particulièrement succulent, avec une coupe de viande fantastique. Je le recommande vivement!
quelle incroyable surprise. le restaurant est géré par un beau couple (japonais et français) qui mange français avec une touche de japonais. si bon et si frais. nous sommes venus déjeuner deux fois et prévoyons de revenir. nourriture et service excellents. Les locaux viennent aussi ici pour manger. pas de piège à touristes. excellent. Réservez une table maintenant
